Very happy with my purchase from Atkinsons. The premiums are very competitive. I only use Atkinsons and one other bullion dealer and I switch between the two whoever is providing the best premium at that time, which is usually minimal as they’re both the top two best in the UK.

It wasn't "scrap"
I sent 3 gold sovereign to sell, I received the full price for 2 of them but the 3rd coin had a tiny dent in the rim and was classified as "scrap" and so the price offered was £29 less.
Here's the interesting thing, I bought that same coin from one of these bullion dealers 3 years ago and it wasn't sold to me as scrap, it seems these dealers set the goalposts exactly how they want to benefit themselves.
I won't use this dealer again.

In order to achieve full price, coins do need to be in a resaleable condition, as this ensures our clients are safe in the knowledge the condition of the coin will be good when they come to us to buy a pre-owned item. We are sure you appreciate that it was not ourselves that sold you the coin.
