Stayed at Atlantica Aphrodite Hills in Cyprus April/May for 7 nights. Beautiful hotel in a fantastic area. Outstanding service from Peppa and Vasilis in the El Sabor lounge and also Kamello and her husband at the adult only pool bar, they made our holiday a memorable one. One small criticism is that the food in the buffet restaurant wasn’t hot enough so we tended to just eat the salads that were on offer. Overall a lovely place to stay and would recommend it.

Great hotel. Excellent Staff.
We stayed there at the beginning of January, and everything was perfect. For sure we will come back again.

We have had a very bad experience in…

We have had a very bad experience in trying to downgrade one of the rooms. I have been in dialog with the hotel since before Christmas (for more than a week) and Expedia have been in dialog with the hotel without luck in the downgrading process.

When we arrived yesterday we got forced to sign for both the rooms even through we explicitly said we wanted to downgrade.
The cashier told us to come down in the morning to do the downgrade.

If we had made a scene yesterday evening, we could have forced it through with Expedia as they could completely cancel both reservations without payment for it - but for us it was "just" a matter of downgrading and doing it as polite as possible, but it is solely the hotel who is now holding their right for the higher price

We have just returned from the Atlantica imperial resort. Beautiful. Staff were wonderful. I have a couple of gripes though. There are quite a few 4 poster beds and some round ones. The 4 poster beds were charged at €35 per day and the round ones €40 per day.
I totally disagree with this as they are all on the actual complex. I have never been charged for using one of these type of beds before unless on the beach. It is definitely unjustified. Also there is a part of the complex that you are not allowed on unless you have paid for the swim up rooms. It is only a grass area but there is a sign up saying private. And only for the people in those rooms. Segregating people.
I suffer with a bad back and find the normal beds really bad. I always try to get a bed with a mattress but I am not paying the extortionate prices. We went away earlier in the year but was never charged to use any of the beds on the complex. We found a heated pool but hardly anyone used it as people weren’t sure if it was a private pool only for use for the swim up rooms. Also take swim shoes as the beach is all pebbles which means getting in the water was hard work.

When we went down for the evening meal, we would have to wait to be seated which is fine. But whilst we were queuing, other people would just walk past and go straight in. A lady behind me commented to the waiter she didn’t understand why we were being made to wait when there was loads of empty tables. I can only think that they kept tables for the people who had paid for the red carpet treatment. Again segregating us all. When we had been there about 8 days they closed half of the buffet area. As the hotel was going to close at the end of October they were obviously scaling down. The queues for food was terrible. There was still a lot of people there. I would NOT class as a 5 star.

The check out procedure was horrendous

The check out procedure was horrendous. We stayed at 5* Kalliston resort & spa by Atlantica in all inclusive option, but at the check out we were given a nice surprise - extra fees for food in the room (because we came back too late from our excursion and missed our dinner @ 9.30pm and the only option was room service). The front desk manager Addy didn't want to hear anything and demanded the payment. He then threatened to call the police if we will not pay. It was so humiliating. We always stay in all inclusive hotels (as we do not want to have any hassles with the bills at the end) and we never had any issues anywhere in the world.
The hotel itself was terrible too. Beds beyond "wear and tear" the rooms had warped floors and extremely poor mini fridge content; just 2 cans of larger beer, a few soft drinks and just 1 bottle of water for 2 people!!
The beach was terrible, full of trash, cigarette buds and rocks. It was shocking.
Bars didnt have any alcohol free drinks, apart of one type of AF beer. No mocktails either! How is this even possibile at a 5* hotel?!
It was such a mistake to stay here.

Atlantic Imperial all inclusive - Rhodes

Booked the Atlantic Imperial all inclusive in Rhodes in September.
We had a swim up, sea view room, which i have to say was very nice. cleaned every other day, mini fridge stocked and beds changed.
Overall the hotel, staff & food were great, but i can not give it 5 stars. there were little things that just let it down.
Being all-in gave us access to the residences for breakfast - however most of the full english was cold.
The evening meals were served in the main restaurant, sometimes queuing could be an issue if you wanted to sit outside. Also, there were far too many people (not social distancing) in the buffet area. This was also evident around the main pool area, as the sun beds were far too close together!
Although, lots of covid things in place, wearing masks, sanitiser & gloves..we felt there could have been a little more attention to detail. I know things are difficult under these circumstances, but could have just been a little better.
Staff were excellent... you did not want for anything, they were all very friendly, & credit to them they remembered you. Special shout out to Orsi & Menelios. Will certainly go back.

MOST BEAUTIFUL AND BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER

I arrived late at night at Atlantica Mare Village, Ayia Napa, on August 3rd, 2020 with my boyfriend. We had booked our trip through a tour operator (TUI). Already from the arrival, we were received with open arms (despite restrictions and injunctions due to COVID-19). The check-in process was quick and error-free; to our surprise, we were, for free, upgraded, from a double room with a limited sea view to a double room with a swip-up pool, without being aware of it before we entered the room - truly the most pleasant surprise! As we arrived late at the hotel (and thus lost that whole day), the hotel had secured a bite of food for us who arrived late (nice gesture). As mentioned, we were upgraded for free and without our knowledge until we entered the room. The room (room 8044) is so beautiful with pleasant and relaxing colors, and the swim-up part of the room was of course the icing on the cake. From there, all the service and experiences were cherries on top of the icing on the cake ;). The food at the hotel (both the buffet restaurant and the a la carte restaurants) serves food that is on a completely different level. We had an all-inclusive stay, which I can only recommend, with the type of food that the hotel serves - something for taste. I must especially recommend the hotel's a la carte restaurant, Mandoline Med Bistro. I have not tried such good food in a while as in this restaurant! With an all-inclusive stay, you can surely expect not to have to eat anywhere else other than in the hotel - there is always good food and drink available.

Unfortunately I did not get the name of the man who drove us from the reception to our room in the hotels' small 'golf' cars, but great praise for his lovely mood. Moreover, the waiter Loukas (if I am not mistaken), with the beautiful grey hair, should also have high praise for his professional and good service. If you, Loukas, are reading this review at some point, then you should know that my figs (and baklava) came through the luggage (now you probably know well who I am :)).

This is the first time I ever experience the desire to come back to the same hotel! Precisely because of the hotel itself, the food as well as the service.

Thank you so much for a pleasant stay and goodbye for so long,
Edin & Ina

The Atlantica Princess Hotel on the Island of Rhodes is an AMAZING hotel.

The Atlantica Princess Hotel on the Island of Rhodes is an AMAZING hotel.
I have not long returned from my fifth time to this hotel and yet again it kept up to my expectation. the hotel staff were warm friendly, welcoming and always smiling nothing was to much of a problem for them. Management just as nice friendly and approachable easy to talk to and down to earth ready to help out where ever needed. The bar / waiting staff great people smiling joking and chatty but always professional.
The Hotel and Grounds the cleaning / grounds staff done a fantastic good at keeping the grounds well maintained and the pool area hotel area and rooms had a high standard of cleanliness throughout the day.
Meals may it be Breakfast Lunch (in doors or outside) or Dinner you had a nice range of fresh food catered for young to old and different dietary needs and not warmed up from the meal before either.
Entertainment through out the day there is activities set out for kids clubs to activities for older people and entertainment for all ages in the evening.
Checkout reviews from all web sites before booking as i have read bad reviews about noisy children this is a family hotel and i would expect kids if i didnt want kids around i would book a adults only hotel
The Bad point is you have to leave

Unprofessional, allow animals, unhealthy

We went to Atlantica Akti Zeus. Resort: Amoudara
In Crete - Heraklion

We were lucky with the weather, but it turned a night mare because of the animals.
Before we made the booking I enquired the hotel and travel agency about the animal policy. Only when I was told they didn’t allow animals, I made the booking.
We found there were two dogs and two cats living in the hotel, as you can see on the photos.

The dogs used to be in the pool area, some times inside the pool (swimming), sun beds, gardens and around the restaurant and bar. Quite often if you are in a sun bed you felt the dog touching your feet, hands, etc. or sniffing your belongings.
The cats used to be pretty much everywhere, inside the restaurant, (it was a buffet restaurant), inside the building, corridors, reception, stairs. The sofas in the reception and hall, were all full of cat hair, because the cats used to sleep on the sofas all day. And If I ask some of the staff to remove the cat from the sofa, (so we can seat), the staff just refused.

These were stray dogs and cats, (so, not properly looked after), not vaccines, pretty dirty, and most probably must be full of fleas, mites, etc.
Nevertheless, the hotel’s staff didn’t evict them, actually were feeding them. So encouraging them to stay. Despite the hotel’s policy “No animals allowed”.

I didn’t want a stray dog, dirty and probably full of parasites touch me. So I tried to had a word with the hotel manager, but he/she didn’t even wanted to receive me.
I had a word with the reception desk and also with TUI & Thomson representative in the hotel.
It was all a waste of time. Once I was there, and they had my money, they just didn’t care and did nothing to evict the cats and dogs. Because they know in few days you’ll be gone.

It was pretty disgusting and unhealthy to find cats inside the buffet restaurant, with food expose. It was pretty disgusting to find the hotel staff feeding the cats with the same plates and bowl we used in the restaurant.

Within a week, we saw twice, a gang of six and eight stray dogs get inside the hotel, in the pool area, sun beds, barbecue, terrace. Wondering around there for a while, and the hotel staff did absolutely nothing.
Two weeks after I left the hotel, the manager had to call a local animal rescue to get rid of the cats and dogs.
Some times, even some visitors got inside the hotel with a dog in a leash.

The hotel itself was good enough. It was pretty new and big. But what’s the point if you have to share the pool, sun bed, plates and restaurant with dirty dogs and cats full of fleas. And the healthy issue.
Also, the food was rather low quality, and repetitive. The drinks were very low quality as well, and the staff and managements, unprofessional and the customer service pretty low.
To make the story short, the fact is the hotel lie. They advertise as “No animals allowed”, but the fact is they allow animals, (feed them, and allow them to stay).
You are told they “don’t allow animals”, you make the booking, spend your money, all day travelling to get the hotel, and when you arrive you have to spend all your holidays with animals, and stress. And you can’t use some of the hotel facilities like the pool, sun beds, etc, because of the animals. And if you try to have a word with the hotel staff, they just ignore you, and you get more stress.
