I bought these to lift cabinets and equipment. Work great with low effort. Jacked up a heavy lathe and left it for three days and the Viking arms held with no slippage. Highly recommended and very handy when you need extra hands to hold the job up.

First off, this is expensive and I'd give it higher value if the price was less. Don't get me wrong - this is high quality, well made and works very well, but it is expensive. That out of the way, I don't regret buying the Viking Arm at all - it is glass smooth to use, micro adjustment, and can easily lift several hundred pounds with ease. Lift a washing machine for leveling? No problem. Lift a several hundred pound desk? No problem. Hold one end of a heavy door for adjustment? No problem. If it was under $200 I'd have bought two, but I don't regret getting the one.
