“Lifetime Support” means 5 years - then ghosting
In 2016, I invested €4,932 in Audiovector SR3 super speakers after being promised lifetime spare parts availability and modular upgradeability. The salesperson emphasized this as a key advantage of choosing Audiovector.
In 2021 (only 5 years later), I needed a replacement plinth after accidental damage. Result: Original parts no longer available.
Audiovector’s “solution”:
∙ Silver plinths offered for €696 + shipping (my speakers are gunmetal metallic)
∙ When I requested a fair solution for max €300, considering the lifetime support promise
∙ Complete silence - no response whatsoever
Eventually, a German distributor sent me touch-up paint, which was the only help I received.
The reality:
For a €5,000 speaker system, I expected at least 15-20 years of proper spare parts support, not touch-up paint after 5 years and being ignored when raising legitimate concerns.
Warning to potential buyers:
If you’re investing in high-end audio expecting long-term support and serviceability, think twice. “Lifetime spare parts” apparently means “as long as we feel like it” at Audiovector.
The speakers sound great, but the aftersales support is simply unacceptable for this price segment.
