First no answer on my contact because of a problem with my product.

Apparently my message didn't get through. After I got in touch with somebody everything was solved too full satisfaction. They replaced my broken part for only the shipping costs even though there was no warranty anymore!! So full 5 stars! :)

I just received my wireless charger for my Audi A3 delivered all the way from Canada, all the way to the UK, courtesy of Canada Post. It's really great piece of kit, very minimalist and a perfect fit - Audi could have made these OEM and charged £300 and people would buy it. Wireless charging works a treat too.

I’ve tried those cheap plastic cradles off AliExpress and Amazon, they all suck. Clearmounts is the BEST! I was concerned about the price being so high but it was soooo worth it. I purchased the extra cradle attachment because I didn’t think I would use the magnetic mount, but after trying both I absolutely love the magnetic one, even if there is a big magnet on the back of my phone case.

I never had a problem so I didn’t have to contact support, but from what I’ve heard they are very professional and will resolve your problem.

I will see if I can purchase a good MagSafe case so I don’t need the magnet on the back of my phone, although I’m not sure how strong it will be compared to the one they give you.

Delivery: Considering the units came all the way from Canada I was really impressed with how quickly it arrived in the UK (3-4 days from order) in a sturdy, well presented box, with clear graphics and instructions. The mount is tightly packaged into the box. I can't imagine these ever arriving damaged.

Product: I initially bought a cheap plastic cradle on eBay to hold my iPhone 11 in my 2014 Audi A3, but soon realised it wasn't strong enough to carry the weight of the phone, and it cheapened the look of the centre console. So after doing some research on Google and YouTube the name "Clearmounts" kept coming up. Slightly more expensive than what you might find on other sites but definitely worth the extra money in my opinion ("Buy cheap, buy twice" as they say). The magnetic mount is perfect for my Audi, both in looks and performance.

The installation process is easy, especially if you watch the numerous YouTube videos. You simply tug back the 2 central air vents (helps if you have longer nails) and pull them out completely. Then place the mount onto the back of the vent units and push them down slowly until they are flush with the front. (Sidenote - I have two mounts and trying to get the first one off was a trickier task!). Once the mount is flush with the front of the vents you simply line them back up with the holes (make sure the silver dial is at 12.00/Open) and then push them back into place. Done! The mount is so thin that it doesn't affect the motion of the silver dial at all.

Then you add the adhesive metal plate (supplied) to either the back of your phone/case, or to the inside of your phone case (I chose this option so you can't see it).

The magnetic pull force is strong and will be able to hold most bulky phones with ease. I was sent a prototype for a newer model and the magnet was slightly stronger than the original version, which is better for me as my iPhone 11 is quite heavy, and it has a bulky case too (I found with the original mount my phone would sometimes tilt slightly). I use the mount all the time now. It is especially useful when using my phone as a sat-nav (the built-in Audi Nav is outdated and slow). The magnetic connection is strong and sturdy - I never worry that my phone is going to fall off, even if I have to turn suddenly. The mounted phone also doesn't block your vision of the pop-up MMI screen.

When you are not using the mount it seamlessly sits in-between the vents without intrusion, and it actually looks like it is a factory fitted part of the car.

Conclusion: The product looks and feels premium, doesn't intrude on the aesthetic of your centre console, performs brilliantly, and the customer service and communication from Carl (the owner) was beyond excellent.

5/5 from me. I would highly recommend this company and product to anyone with an Audi.

Brilliant product and brilliant service! I had ordered one of the phone holders for my audi a3 and around a year later the screw to hold the holder in had snapped due to being tighten up to much. i emailed and told them what happened and they sent me out a complete new holder! will defo use again if i get a new audi.
