The Cutting Boards we received do NOT…

The Cutting Boards we received do NOT LOOK LIKE the ones on the website.

Also the "Contact customer support" links don't even work.

Starting to wonder if this is a scam.

The customer support link just started working after we were emailing

Also you never admitted that the hanging notch in the handle as shown on the website is missing from what was sent.

The pictures on the home page clearly show the notch in the handle (which i sent multiple pictures of) and you would not acknowledge. You keep telling me what was delivered is exactly what's shown on the web site. It's not. The handle does not have the hanging notch as shown and the pictures are very deceptive on how thick the actual product is.
I would suggest you get rid of those pictures and put up what the customer is actually buying.

They say you can return item for full…

They say you can return item for full refund and free shipping. They lie. I did not even open my package when it arrived because I no longer wanted it. I had read reviews that I did not like. They actually threatened me with an additional cost of $102 if i contacted my credit card. I have the email.

Hi — we're sorry to hear about your experience. Our return policy covers products that arrive defective or damaged, which is disclosed at checkout and agreed upon, this is standard practice with food related items.

The cutting board was OK

The cutting board was OK, but the knife was fully unacceptable. It was not in any way sharp and I will not be using that knife for anything.

Large Cutting Board and Damascus Chef Knife

Not only are their products top quality, but the customer service is ALWAYS there to answer any questions! Love my new titanium cutting board (Large cutting board and Katana Series 8 Damascus Chef Knife), knowing now that I can safely use the board to cut my produce and meats, being able to truly clean it, and not fear the transfer of bacteria from a wooden board or plastics from another cutting board I had. The health benefits are paramount for me and AntieRues delivered! The Chef knife is also a game changer! Love it!

Titanium is great

I am very happy. I bought these new titanium cutting boards. They are so easy to use and even easier to clean. I particularly enjoy that they are safe from absorbing bacteria and risking contamination to other foods. They are so easy to clean and thin for storage. I am very happy I bought them. I bought a large, medium and small size so all my needs are well taken care of.

Totally pleased.

The customer service I received at AuntieRues was top notch. I had received a damaged piece, and they replaced it immediately. Very responsive and professional. I would NEVER hesitate to work with them again and purchase their products.

Almost perfect

The cutting board is a flat piece of heavy gauge metal. That is exactly what was advertised. There were two things that could have been done better.

The edges of the metal were machine cut, and they feel sharp. Not sharp in a way that I worried about getting scratched. Would have been a nice touch if the edges were grounded a little to make them a little less sharp.

The rubber corners were slip on. They came off easy when I slid the cutting board across my counter top. They came off in the dish washer.

I ended up using epoxy adhesive to permanently attach the rubber corners.

Nice Cutting Experience, Needs Rolled Edges

The product is a pleasure to cut on. I've only had it for a week so I can't speak to its long-term durability. It's easy to use and clean off with a soapy sponge, then towel dry. The only criticism I have is that the edges feel a bit sharp - including on the insides of the hand-hold cut-out. I think they should roll/smooth the edging a bit to protect older, crepey skin.

The board is ok, but a few problems noted

The board itself is fine! Seems to work well and doesn’t unduly dull the knives.
Two problems tho: the small plastic feet come off frequently, especially when washing; also the edges of the cutting board are sharp in places, around the outside and the inside of the handle? cut out. Especially when washing, you could get cut.

The cutting boards are as described

The cutting boards are as described. They are easy to clean. It doesn’t leave any cut marks that cut through the boards thus reducing contamination. My only complaint is that the knives I have leave scratch marks on the boards. I read that ceramic knives will not leave scratches but I haven’t been able to try any yet.

Auntie Rues steals from you by charging you every 28 days after purchase

While the cutting board is nice (thin though), THIS COMPANY WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD every 28 days. Furthermore, when you call the phone number on the credit card charge, THE NUMBER IS TO A CELL PHONE THAT IS TURNED OFF! You will never ever talk to someone at Auntie Rue's. Ever. They will keep charging your card until your bank stops it or you are forced to charge your credit card number to stop the fraudulent charges by Auntie Rue's.
You can not trust this company. They will indeed steal from you by continuing to charge your card long after the initial product payment in full, and it is almost impossible to stop them.

I'm sorry for the frustration here. I've gone into your account, cancelled any recurring billing, and refunded the charges in full — you should see the refunds posting back to your card shortly, depending on your bank's processing time.

If anything doesn't show up the way you expect, email me directly at support@auntierue.com with your order number and I'll make sure it's resolved.

Horrible Experience

This site captured my interest on Social Media. I began to issue a purchase, but when almost at checkout the website forces you to watch super long video. It also locked you into this screen where if you went back to your previous task, it claimed that it would charge you twice. I exited out of the site completely as I did not select a "final purchase" or "complete order" selection, and was certain this was a scam. Customer service is unhelpful. I tried to cancel immediately after the order and was told they would not cancel as I followed their purchasing process and completed it, which I did not. They also don't have a legitimate return policy, and cleverly state that any type of return is invalid if you tried to cancel the order or have "changed your mind". Horrible people and desperate for money. I will be contacting my credit card company with a dispute. These people should not be in business. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM OR ENGAGE IN THEIR WEBSITE!

My response to AuntieRues reply:

You are a FRAUDULENT company offering a horrible product. I give you points for protecting your fraudulent business by clever design of your website and offerings. But the TRUTH is, you're awful people that take advantage of the online community. For ANYONE else reading this review response, please do not purchase anything from this business. Don't place any credit card info into the site, or they will lock you in to a final sale regardless if you complete the order.

Hi Joe, thank you for taking the time to write this — I'm sorry the checkout left you feeling uncertain, and I want to walk through what happened for you and for anyone else reading.

The order is placed when you click the order button. Directly beneath that button, the page states in plain text: "Your card will be charged for cutting boards when you click the button above." The page you reached afterward — the one with the video — is your order confirmation. It also presents one optional add-on product, and that add-on only charges if you actively choose to accept it. Declining it doesn't affect or change your original order, and it isn't a second purchase step you were required to complete.

So the order was completed at that first button, which is why our team saw it as a valid order. I understand that wasn't clear to you in the moment, and that's genuinely useful feedback.

This seemed legit until immediately…

This seemed legit until immediately following checkout when the website tries to make you watch a super long video. I exited out as it seemed like the order was incomplete until I had watched it, and the fact that there was a video at the end made it seem like a scam. Customer service is unhelpful. I tried to cancel immediately after the order and was told that's not possible, which seems insane. Their return policy is apparently no returns, which suggests this product is not well liked.

Hi TS, thank you for the honest feedback — I'm sorry the checkout left you unsure whether your order had gone through, and I want to clear that up for you and for anyone else reading.

Your order is placed and complete the moment you click the order button — the charge is disclosed in plain text right beneath it. The page you reached afterward, with the video, is your order confirmation; it also presents one optional add-on product. Watching the video was never required, and nothing on that page was a step you had to finish for your order to count. I can see how landing on a video right after buying felt off, and that's genuinely useful for us to hear.

Highly unethical business practices

Highly unethical business practices. I started an order to purchase some of their Titanium cutting boards. After entering my info in, the page showed it was step 2 of 3 in the order process and said I had to watch a video first. After a couple minutes, the video was still going without progressing so I scrolled down an enormous amount of text to the bottom where it talked about adding a set of Damascus knives to the order. There was no option to decline the knives. There were also specific instructions not to hit the Back button or else a second order could be placed. Everything was extremely fishy now so I closed the window and never proceeded to step 3 to finalize the order. I immediately got a notification from my bank that my card had been charged. As soon as I saw the order confirmation email from the company, I immediately clicked on the giant Dispute a Charge link in the email. Shortly after, I got another email stating they were contacting my bank to get the refund processed and there was nothing else I needed to do. The next day, however, they sent another email that said after they did their own internal review, they confirmed that I did complete the order and then threatened to fine me legal fees/send it to collections if I tried to dispute it. They said there are no cancellations for any reason. When I added my info, there was nothing on the cart page that said all orders were final with no option to cancel for any reason. I found their Refund Policy page and it literally lists every possible exclusion including changed your mind, product material is different than stated, not satisfied/happy with product, etc., even though the product page says there's a 60 day "try to ruin it" claim. I then looked at their other pages linked at the bottom of the site and some of the terms contradict themselves on the same page.

I've also requested the shipping carrier name and tracking number, but they would only state that it's a "private logistics partner".

I finally received the package/opened it and found the following:

- The carrier was YW Express, based in China. They do not accept packages directly from within Japan so the package would have to be exported from Japan by another carrier to China. There is no indication on the 2 shipping labels that it originated in Japan as there is only English and Mandarin on them.
- The boards do not look like the photos. Their picture shows a cross-section diagram depicting a weaved material representing Katana Flex with a narrow groove at the top edge. The boards I received are thin and solid. Therefore, there is no internal weaved material and zero flex in the board. Their Refund Policy states that products made of a different material or construction method than what they claim does not qualify for return/refund.
-Their response email to my dispute for a refund states: "Our team is now contacting your bank on your behalf to process your refund." There's also a large green box with a checkmark stating Refund Being Processed. Doesn't say anywhere in the email that the dispute must be reviewed by Auntie Rue first.

Finally, I've learned the address on their site as Honoredpayments LLC is a virtual address, not a physical business address, meaning they could actually be located anywhere in the world.

I highly recommend avoiding this company.

Thank you for the detailed feedback — I'm sorry the experience left you uneasy, and I want to walk through what actually happens, both for you and for anyone else reading.

Your order is placed and complete the moment you click the order button — the charge is disclosed in plain text directly beneath it. The page you reached afterward is your order confirmation. It does present one additional product, but there is a clearly labeled "No thanks" option to decline it — it isn't forced, and skipping it has no effect on your original order. The page also isn't labeled as a required step you have to finish; your order was already complete at the button.

On the refund: when you submitted your request, the email you received confirmed we'd received it and were reviewing it — not that a refund had already been issued. After reviewing the order, we found it had been placed and charged as disclosed, which is what the follow-up explained.

Our 60-day guarantee covers products that arrive defective or damaged, which is what it states on the product page. It isn't a general change-of-mind return, and I understand that distinction wasn't what you were hoping for.

We also sent the tracking link to your email to track it.
