Great Experience

I had a great experience with Auto Select Warranties. They were very professional and communicated excellently. The process was very straightforward. They asked me to have the car inspected to identify the issue and provide a diagnostic report, which I did. They covered the full amount, including parts and labour. Recommended them to anyone.

Greatful for Autoselect warranties…

Im greatful for Autoselect warranties help. I had an issue with my car going into limp mode and cutting out. My garage told me the issue was my DPF, Turbo and manifold. My warranty claim limit was £1000 and my garage quoted me £2400. Auto select picked up my vehicle and took it to one of their known garages who did a carbon clean and changed the Turbo and regenerated the DPF. It all cost £1330. They paid the £1000 and I paid the shorfall. I was happy as couldnt afford such a large shortfall my garage quoted. The only issue I had was waiting on call backs from the repair department as they were always busy. But as I got my vehicle back within a week, I was happy.

DO NOT USE …

This company asked me to go to the garage get a written estimate and email it to them which I did.
To cut a long, long story short the price from the garage is as £781.
This so called warranty company came back saying it should cost no more than £216. I’ve rung round garages and everyone of them laughed and said not a chance.
Rung the warranty company back and they’re having none of it making excuse after excuse.
I don’t normally leave reviews but this consonant is a joke.
Do not use for your own sake.

DO NOT USE

so i recently passed my test and one day i realised my brake cylinder was leaking took it to a garage and long story short it had soaked my brakes and i was quoted 203 pounds they will only cover 140 of it as a new driver who has spent all of my money on insurance etc, i dont hardly have the money to pay and i tried to ring the company and it took 20 minutes to get through and the guy told me that they cant do anything no apologys or anything and my cover is the platinum one as well so if someone had the cheapest one they would probably pay next to nothing and are also super difficult with my garage 1/5 stars do not recommend

Scam artists

Despite the warranty company stating that they deal with my car dealership on a daily basis, my dealership refused to deal with this warranty company because they are a 3rd party. I cannot urge people enough NOT to use this company. Despite paying for the Premium package, when I relied on them for help, they left me high and dry. Complete scam artists that take your money, give you false information, then renage on their agreement.

Easy and hassle free process!

I had an issue with a vehicle I purchased through a dealer. I made autoselect aware of the issue and they assisted me through their claims process. They reimbursed me any costs they promised and paid the garage who carried out the repair before I even collected the vehicle! Easy and hassle free process - Definitely recommended!

Misleading warranty terms and dismissive customer service

I bought a used car from a dealer, and the vehicle came with a 6-month Platinum AutoSelect Warranties cover as part of the deal. When an issue occurred, I followed the process and took the car to a garage for a fault code reading, as instructed by AutoSelect. They promised to reimburse up to £50 for the diagnostic.

They approved the claim but only offered £250 for a repair that was quoted at £650. I couldn’t afford to pay the £400 difference, so I had the repair done privately by my son, a qualified mechanic, for under £150 — a fair and professional job.

Despite following their process, they refused to reimburse the diagnostic fee, claiming they only pay it if the full repair is done through an approved claim. Nowhere in the contract or warranty booklet does it state this condition. I asked them multiple times to show where this rule is written, but they couldn’t — only referring to internal policy and hypothetical abuse of the system.

Their replies were often rude, lacking basic courtesy (no greeting, no name), and eventually ended with them saying they were "not willing to spend any more time repeating the same answer."

Now I have two new issues with the car, and they’re again forcing me to pay for diagnostics with no guarantee that any of it will actually be covered.

I'm not concerned about the £50 — I'm concerned about the pattern: you pay for diagnostics, they approve a fraction of the repair cost, and you’re left covering everything anyway. In the end, the warranty is practically useless.

To me, this feels like a legalised scam designed to avoid paying out while appearing legitimate on the surface.

I've contacted Citizens Advice Bureau and will be submitting a formal complaint to The Motor Ombudsman. I strongly recommend avoiding this company.
