Purchased my car from a dealer that uses this warranty company. Had to make a claim in the last few days before it expired. I couldn’t get the car booked in until after the expiry date, as I made them aware they gave me good grace for 7 days and managed to get the car repaired and paid.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, rear differential failed in my car and they claimed everything came down to wear and tear even tho multiple garages and technicians told us that it’s not wear and tear it just failed. Try their hardest not to pay out, save the hassle and money and don’t bother.

Avoid, they don't payout for parts they agree are covered

Bought a car in July 2023 which came with 3 Months Warranty from Auto Select, warranty looked good on paper until I came to make a claim.

In August 2023 I had a service performed and investigation into an error coded which was that the engine coolant temperature was too low, a thermostat stuck open. I had the garage quote for the repair as per Auto Select's requirement and provided them the quote which was £153.87 + VAT for the part and 2 hours labour at £98.00, total claim £380.64.

Auto Select agreed that the part was under warranty and they agreed to pay me the sum of £178.10 which included the part, VAT and Labour. When I questioned how they cam to this figure, they claimed they could get the part for £94.25 +VAT, I then asked where they acquired that quote from and I then called the same garage where I was quoted £184.67 including VAT for the part, which is more than they were willing to pay me for the part and labour including VAT.

The price they approved included labour at £50 per hour, I am unable to find any garage in my area with labour rates under £80 per hour.

Auto Select agreed that the failed part was covered under their warranty plan, however the price they were willing to pay does not even cover the cost of the part. I contacted Auto Select and requested that they provide details of a garage I can take the car to which will repair the car for £178.10 including VAT. I was told that they can't recommend garages, it is my choice.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT HELPFUL AND ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU TAKE OUT A POLICY WITH THEM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! USE ANOTHER COMPANY AND ALWAYS READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING. I WAS CONNED, DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU.

Lighten your bank account

If you have too much money just give it to this company and they will happily give nothing in return. Despite my claim being for a safety related issue.even though they agreed that the part needed replacing the garage had worded their report incorrectly and the part isn’t faulty enough yet to warrant a claim. I’m sure that there are more reputable and honest companies out there so choose one of them. I’m sure the next 5/6 reviews are going to be 5 star 😉

Cannot fault , really good service

Was quite worried about my fault on the car after only owning it for 4 months , I rang auto select who asked me to get a diagnostic and after that they dealt with the garage directly . Put my mind at ease, very polite lady called Sarah (thank you ) and everything was rectified in 2 days. Will certainly recommend so a big thank you from myself

"Virus X" is AutoSelectWarranties LTD!

I followed their wording, instruction and message to a T. I took the car in to a VAT-registered company, diagnosed it, IT WAS COVERED, but flatly used some cock and bull story to avoid paying out and even so much as paying out on the small cost to diagnose. This company, once a review is written, makes up their own "positive" spins and pretends to be clients with 5-star reviews. I will tell anyone this, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Save your money.

Lies and disorganisation

Horrific, emotionally damaging and financially ruining experience - Megacarshop Peterbough use this company as their chosen warranty on all cars. I purchased a car from them back in feburary and the gearbox went less than a month afterwards, not only did the dealership ignore me for weeks but when I finally managed to get through they chose this warranty company to repair the car which has now taken nearly 4 months to resolve, the mechanics they chose seem completely incompetent and couldn't even find the faults I reported first time round even though I was explicitly clear about what the faults were and how they occurred. They told me week after week that the car would be ready and every single week it wasn't - this went on for 5 weeks and after the car was finally ready to be fixed they claim to only cover £1000 worth of the repairs whereas on the dealership site they claim you get up to the aggregate value of the vehicle. I believe they lie and run a scheme to make money from people knowing they can wait people out without consequence.

Due to their bad management, horrific organisational ability and horrific choice of garages they have set me back thousands and thousands of pounds in travel costs just to keep my life afloat and put my job at risk. Ignore everything it says on their site, they do not care and do not provide a good service. They are here to steal your money, as I write this the car is still not fixed and they have expected me to pay for most of it. I strongly believe and have been advised by the citizens advice service that they have broken multiple terms and conditions.

To be very very clear - I would explicitly avoid Megacarshop Peterborough AND if you see "Autoselect Warranties" advetised anywhere you avoid it and run, go for a reputable dealership and a manufacturer warranty if you absolutely have to.

If I could give a lower star for this…

If I could give a lower star for this then I would, just called for the first time and spoke to a guy called (Abdi) wasn’t even interested in talking to me wanted me off the phone no friendliness or information at all just take it to a garage get a diagnosis and send it to them.., really? Never had someone more unhelpful in my life, I’d complain but it sounds like no one at this company cares at all, never again will I take one of these lane policies out!!

absolute shysters

absolute shysters - get told one thing on the phone and then refuse to payout - hide behind "ambiguous wording" in cover detail - which is open to interpretation . they cant even spell words properly on their cover documentation

not worth paper its written on
