Avaaz are an ethical organisation that I have admired for years now. They achieve so much good for our planet, and I am so grateful for all their hard work!

Avaaz is a global web movement to bring people-powered politics to decision-making everywhere. Avaaz—meaning "voice" in several European, Middle Eastern and Asian languages—launched in 2007 with a simple democratic mission: organize citizens of all nations to close the gap between the world we have and the world most people everywhere want. The Avaaz community campaigns in 17 languages, served by a core team on 6 continents and thousands of volunteers. We take action -- signing petitions, funding media campaigns and direct actions, emailing, calling and lobbying governments, and organizing "offline" protests and events -- to ensure that the views and values of the world's people inform the decisions that affect us all. Although people have signed petitions…
Although people have signed petitions in front of me and gone through the process of verifying, they are not a robot. The application does not update with their signature nor does it increase the ticker as to the number of people signing the petition!
I have supported causes for 16 years
I have supported causes for 16 years on Avaaz, for indigenous people, for women's right and for the nature. Avaaz has always represented all kind of people, and they continously inform and involve the members and those interested. I know there has been and is a certain unbalance regarding e.g. the Middle East, but no worry - you are always welcome to make your own petition! And like anyone else, I can simply choose what to sign and what not to sign. I never got any spam from them. I have supported 7-8 causes without problems. I also supported monthly for 2 years, and had to stop 2 years ago. I emailed them, and they cancelled my monthly payment. I startet again 6 months ago, because they do a highly important job. Greetings from Finn Larsen, Denmark!
Sadly Avaaz has been corrupted by…
Sadly Avaaz has been corrupted by hidden populist political agendas and has left the sacred path of protector of the Earth and its indigenous cultures.
Very very sad that Avaaz has become the demon it was fighting.
Be careful when signing a donation
My advise is be very careful when donating. Like some others I authorized a one-off donation and the amount has been taken off my account every month ever since. The biggest problem is that when I access my account to view the donations there is no record of them, the only way to try and cancel the charge is via a contact form and it seems wrong - you should be able to view and manage your donations within the account. I emailed and used the contact form and since there has been no answer I had no choice but cancel my card.
Helping me Support women of the world
A great nonprofit organisation that speaks out and highlights the need for improving women’s rights particularly in countries most affected by drought. This problem also identified by the UN but Avaaz allows individuals like me to be involved. Really like the way this platform only contacts me about issues i’ve expressed an interest in.
Avaaz Foundation is extremely anti-Semitic.
Avaaz Foundation (avaaz.org) is extremely anti-Semitic.
I was recently alerted to October-Avaaz emails related to the events since the Hamas massacre of October 7.
The Avaaz emails start with: "Dear friends". Terrifying, because the Avaaz emails regarding
the Hamas massacre are deliberately one-sided, selective, propagandistic and extremely anti-Semitic. Anti-Semitism is on the rise in the world… partly due
to the extremely anti-Semitic emails of Avaaz.
A few illustrations >
*1 Avaaz emails start with a photo of a needy Palestinian baby, and in the following email
with a photo of two crying Palestinian children.
A photo of a child slaughtered by Hamas on October 7 apparently doesn't matter. More than 1200 innocent Israelis have been horribly
massacred by Hamas and some 250 people (children, adults, old people, including non-
Israelis) have been kidnapped and taken hostage.
Avaaz didn't think it was worthy of a single photo.
*2 Not a single word about the fact that the people of Gaza, the Palestinians, are suffering first and foremost because of the Hamas terror intention:
deliberately entrenching themselves cowardly among the Palestinians (even in and under hospitals!), knowing and hoping that an Israeli response will follow... Hamas misuses Palestinian civilians as human shields.
Avaaz doesn't say a word about that.
*3 Has Avaaz strongly urged Hamas to keep the north-south route clear, i.e. in the complete absence of Hamas troops? NO!!
*3a Has Avaaz urged Hamas to completely remove itself from all hospitals in Gaza? NO!!
*3b Has Avaaz urged Hamas – and the governments supporting it – to engage in dialogue that can end the war and the further suffering of the Palestinians (deliberately caused by Hamas)? NO!!
*4 Hamas: "The massacre was necessary to bring the Palestinian cause back into the spotlight."
And, of course, we (Hamas) are hiding among the Palestinians, as well as in and under hospitals.
Because of that he Palestinian people (babies, children, adults, old people) have to suffer. But we
don’t care about that!
And yet Avaaz doesn't mention that in their October emails!!
*5 Avaaz: "Sign this urgent call for peace and we will deliver our votes to President Biden and the international media."
Did Avaaz urge for an Avaaz-members call to Hamas to surrender immediately and release all hostages or else fight an open battle? NO!!
Etcetera, etcetera!!
CONCLUSION:
Avaaz reports deliberately selectively and spreads anti-Semitic propaganda!! Avaaz Foundation (avaaz.org) is extremely anti-Semitic.
Avaaz has lost its mojo
Just watched their little video. Not sure, what was its, purpose .no news at all of anything they had actually done. Actually achieved, how they helped in any way. Very sugary & smiley pointless waste of time. They used to create and share reports of campaigns snd what results they achieved Nothing in this, one no facts,at all
Mostly I was, shocked & saddened to find but one face of anyone not white and they only said 1 word. Quite shocking and, made me very sad. I used to donate but stopped as didn't hear what they did with the money hardly at all. They used to get members to vote for issues we wanted to work on .have no contact from them in so long and really disliked this, white centric pointless video seen today.
Avaaz makes sure that everyone is free…
Avaaz makes sure that everyone is free to believe or support their campaigns at their own will.
A harmless email is send to you. While for instance Greepeace keep on spamming by phone and even post once you donated. That means that they used my sponsored money for getting my money and not for the course I donated the money to.
With Avaaz I never felt spammed.
If you feel attacked by them it’s your own believe that keeps you from signing a petition.

Avaaz doesn't prevent distribution of Hamas propaganda.
Some of Avaaz campaigns/petitions distribute Hamas terrorist organization propaganda. I've tried to report them, but they ignore my complains. See more details in avaaz_management_federal_bureau_of_investigationof_request_to_avaaz_to_stop_distribute_hamaz_propaganda

Avaaz Is Worthy Of Respect
So far my experience has been completely stellar. I have not had any attacks on my bank account nor have I received any spam notifications since using their service to create petitions. I find it disturbing how many disgruntled comments are on their ratings profile. So I've investigated for my own peace of mind and sanity.
Thus far I see no fraudulent practices carried out by Avaaz. I have noticed a large amount of effort to better the world that we all live in. Such as, during the 2009 Iranian presidential election protests, Avaaz set up Internet proxy servers to allow protesters to upload videos onto public websites.[15]
Avaaz supported the establishment of a no-fly zone over Libya, which led to the military intervention in the country in 2011. It was criticized for its pro-intervention stance in the media and blogs.[16] These are huge chess moves with amazing results. I surmise that while making these moves they have collected a lot of haters. People who do not want them to succeed at their mission which is to create a better world.
Those angry minions are trying their best to ruin Avaaz's reputation in every way possible. They have been forthcoming with their financial reports and that information can be easily found on their website. Or any search engine is a great tool to use to research a companies background information. (startpage, qwant, searchencrypt).
I cannot tell those who seem to be unhappy with Avaaz's success rate to invest their anger on real problems or to learn new skills that will lift their levels of happiness so as not to attack others who have no ill will towards them or anyone else.
All I can say is breath, it is going to be ok. When one door closes multiple doors open. Choose one or more and be happy.
Its very easy to do a little research and find out if someone is not who they claim to be. Their only agenda is for the betterment of all entities on Planet Earth. Don't get in the way of the good guys.
Donations without my permission
In 2017 I did a small monthly donation so they had my creditcard. By 2022 I saw that it ended up in 5 different monthly donations of campaings I have never heard of. I was donating almost 30 euro each month not being aware of it. I have signed some petitions trough the years but not given permission to donation. When I contacted them they refunded me directly for the last year, but not longer than that. I think it's criminal what they are doing so never give them your creditcard and check your account carefully!
Avaaz, SomeOfUs, all the same, check it out!
Check out the people, the same damned people are “SumOfUs…
They are constantly asking you to donate so they can buy shares in this and that, Coca Cola is their big one right now. They want to buy up land in the rainforest, blah blah blah.. it never ends. Used to be they’d ask you to sign a petition and then on the next page that loads, to make a donation. Now they just bombard you with attempts to get donations.
They sent out an email looking for money because the UK had turned around a decision about pesticides that were banned. Upon googling the article it shows that they are barely stating anything true, that the article says it’s only in ONE country and nowhere even close to saying what they are BSing about. Their assets are growing by the millions each year and as I’ve written back to them, with absolutely no response, that they are doing land grabs, building shares in companies, that will ultimately go in there pockets when they disband and move to something else. They’re lawyers, or in law societies, they were part of the U.N. In some capacity… these people are well versed in the law and know exactly what they can get away with and how to execute their plans to benefit from YOUR hard earned money. Reading here over and over about people being charged over and over for one off donations make me sick and even angrier that they are getting away with one of the most disgusting successful attempts at fooling the public, leaving people feeling good that they could contribute to their “causes”.
Makes me sick and I wish they could be shown for what they REALLY are.
Do the research, the more you find, the more you’ll see what’s really going on here. Taking their word for what their causes are is just licensing them to continue on!
Fraudulent behavior
They have charged me on 3 separate occasions.
At no point have I ever heard of them nor have I ever agreed to any kind of donation!
Powerful and meaningful
Powerful, meaningful, serious. This is what we want a campaigning organisation to be and this is what Avaaz is.
I think Avaaz potentially does good…
I think Avaaz potentially does good work, but they seem to intentionally make it near impossible to contact them. They make it very easy to setup donations, but then now way to stop them. Their website, offers no contact information at all. Their help page say to click on the pink button below to contact us. There is no pink button. this it too big an organization to have such a poorly designed website if it is unintentional.
This so called non profit organisation…
This so called non profit organisation has throughout a 180 day campaign refused to publish any credible accounts for what they do with the money they collect.
Wr have requested them to provide accounts including vouchers and auditors statement for public scrutiny. They simply plainly ignore this reasonable request
They are entitled to not publishing anything. But. They claim that they have 70 million members so it is peculiar that this is not mainstream and established already.
We need to see 1 to 1 congruence between collecting 10,000 USD or what they collect, and the spending on their alleged campaigns.
We have written to them that we are willing to post ads for them for free to our ten thousands of followers provided that they publish their accounts. But nothing.
So now time to report them and assert pressure such that we can get clear if they are a scam or just not awake to the occasion.
Please cgallenge this by facts. Anyone who have ever seen avaaz.org's accounts on their homepage? Anyone of you 70 million who have any evidence for spendings on alleged campaigns?
We users want to spend our money on real campaigns not fake scams. That must be obvious.
Cancelling my subscription today after…
Cancelling my subscription today after they sent an email about the US supreme court decision to overturn women’s constitutional right to abortion… but they referred to women as people. I can’t take a campaigning company seriously if it can not see that to fight for womens rights you need to use the word woman.
I naively sent money (recent direct…
I naively sent money (recent direct email about a specific issue) before checking the organisations accounts which you can find on the organisational webpages. Income, grants and renumeration packages don't add up for me. I won’t be donating again. There are a lot of other organisations that either campaign and/or raise money for specific causes (I will continue to donate to) that ensure more money donated goes to causes highlighted. This isn’t one of them “buyer (or donator) beware” – just because an organisation says it is doing “good” doesn’t mean it isn’t also ensuring the directors (or other key stakeholders and power wielders) are well renumerated (look at the amount of money being paid to a few key individuals…. ). Maybe they read Nir Eyal's book about marketing - they seem very good at it.
I was tricked into signing a petition…
I was tricked into signing a petition on this site, it is a Scam and should be ignored and blocked!!!
NEVER EVER send them money!!!
I saw that the numbers signing didn't go up, ever though they claimed 1.8M had signed their petition!!!
DON'T give them your email, or any other personal details!!!
