Deeply dissapointed. What has happened to Avantio?
Support is a joke. They are not able to provide even connection to Booking.com. Not talking booking engine never updated, no development in automatization or ai supported processes. Overselling, little actually works.

We have been Avantio clients for nearly 7 years. The system has on the whole been great for us, but...

...recently it has begun to fall short in several areas which we believe correlates with the sale of the original business. As can often be the case, it seems the new buyers may not be providing the funding for ongoing maintenance and also development of the software (note this is our perception, it could just be poor management).

One significant issue potential new customers may wish to consider is that the automated messaging system is NOT FULLY AUTOMATED. If you have bookings that are likely to be amended (extensions / curtailments etc), then the communications that are initially scheduled, do not adjust to the new dates and this creates issues such as check-out emails being sent out as per the original booking date. This creates guest-anxiety and heaps of manual work for the reservations team.

Anyway, they have finally acknowledged the short-comings in the system but have not offered any assurance that this will be rectified in the near future. So this review is for buyer-beware purposes to do your full research before committing to onboarding this software, if automation of communications is what you need. Their website says it is automated, but we can confirm it most certainly is not.

The 1 star rating is for the unprofessional consideration this issue has been given, alongside the fact that we are paying for a system which has been misrepresented.

Avantio is one of the cheaper providers - its like this for a reason.

The customer service is within touching distance of 0. I managed more than 150 properties with them and you just cant any help whatsoever. Just ended up giving up and going to their competitors after a while.

A few months ago, I signed up for Avantio and it’s been amazing! Avantio has transformed my business, and I’d rate it 5/5 stars for efficiency, growth, and exceptional service!

The software is fully comprehensive and easy to train on and use.
The channel manager works well as does the website booking system.
The database and automatic payments system work very well.
The reporting is user friendly and easy to interrogate.
The system of automatic e-mails works well and is very intuitive and in our case, we use 6 languages.
We are with Avantio now for the start of our second season and most elements are better than we expected and the platform has exceeded our expectations.

Excellent software. It helps us to streamline our business and processes. The accounting section is accurate too, which we love! Great website, can’t recommend enough!

Update on my last review January 2024 : some improvements overall notably in the channel manager and unified inbox, still not perfect but the support team is responsive

Avantio gave us the solution we were looking for in the past. Since 2016 we are working with Avantios which offer a complete solution for us as property managers With a lot of partners Avantio have a great toolbox for a lot of different task to make our work a lot easier.
