If you want a compact machine for washing the car, cleaning patios and general jobs around the house, I’d have no hesitation recommending the P40 Large. It’s one of those products where the build quality makes it feel considerably more expensive than it actually is

**Really impressed with the AVA Go P40 Large** I bought the AVA Go P40 Large mainly for washing my large SUV and I’ve been really impressed with it. For such a compact pressure washer it has plenty of power for car cleaning, but the biggest thing for me is how well thought out the whole package is. The 10 metre flexible hose gives you enough reach to get around a large vehicle without constantly moving the machine, the gun and lance feel good to use, and the built-in accessory storage keeps everything together rather than having bits scattered around the garage. I also bought the large foam cannon reservoir specifically because of the size of my SUV. That was definitely the right decision as I can cover the whole vehicle properly without having to stop halfway through and refill it. The machine itself feels solid and well made, particularly compared with some pressure washers that feel very plastic and disposable. The metal pump and the fact AVA actually designs these machines to be serviceable and repairable were big positives for me. The long warranty also gives you some confidence that they expect the product to last. The buying experience was equally good. The AVA range and the different bundles are clearly explained, so it was easy to work out which version suited what I wanted rather than paying for things I wouldn’t use. Overall, it’s a really good combination of compact size, decent performance, long hose and clever design. For washing a large SUV without having a huge pressure washer taking up space in the garage, the P40 Large is pretty much exactly what I wanted. Very pleased with it.

I bought this to replace a Bosch Aquatack, which I ran over whilst moving my car (!). The purchase of the AVA Go was so what enforced. However, whilst I was happy enough with the Bosch the AVA is significantly better, although it should be for the price difference. Power is good, portability excellent but it is also simpler to use with the components all snapping together and separating more easily that the Bosch system. Key to the ease of use however is the length of the hose of the AVA which changes the whole dynamic of washing the cars. Instead of carting the jet unit around the vehicle as with the Bosch, the longer AVA hose allows me to reach all round the vehicle with the jet unit remaining in place. Worth paying more for this feature alone but the quality of design and build are exceptional. The spray foam unit has also produced by far the best snow of any type of pump including the Bosch, though I have yet to try the AVA foam I purchased with the unit. All round, very good.

This my first pressure washer and I'm impressed by how easy to use it is. The only thing I need to adjust is the flow on the snow foam gun. I tried it on 6 but I think this was a little to much. Can anyone suggest a better setting?

Welcome to the world of pressure washing, Barrie! For a rich, thick foam layer without wasting too much product, we usually recommend trying a setting between 3 and 4, which should give you perfect coverage on your next wash.
I am loving the ava go 40 large, I also bought 40° nossel, my only gripe is I wish the nossel spray was able to rotate, then it would be perfect for every job put in front of it
