Buyer beware! Terrible customer service

I placed an order for products which were never delivered. Despite giving the seller multiple opportunities to respond and resolve the issue, I was repeatedly ignored. While a chargeback would have been the faster route, I was mindful of the impact that can have on small businesses and instead pursued a resolution through Citizens Advice and Trading Standards, using the company details listed on Companies House.

Eventually, I did receive a refund. However, I was subsequently blocked—without warning or explanation—including from paid groups, which required me to request an additional refund. At no point was I offered an explanation or an apology; I was simply blocked.

I believe in supporting small businesses, but I cannot endorse those that fail to deliver goods that have been paid for and refuse to communicate with their customers.

Avid crafts more like avoid crafts

Was looking for another sewing site ( to leave good feedback) when this one came up, and even though it’s been a while I feel compelled to review it as I don’t think I will ever forget the terrible treatment I received, I had ordered two products from Abeygale @avidcrafts but they never arrived, after numerous enquiries I read a very nasty spiteful quote on her Facebook page,
( which with hindsight she quickly removed) when I questioned it I was told very rudely the she didn’t mention me by name, but it was obvious from her remarks it was not only aimed at me but anyone who had the nerve to ask her a question.i never heard another word good or bad from her. But it left me very angry as I had been a loyal supporter of her small business for quite a while.
She needs a lesson in customer service if she wants to survive in the business world.

Truly awful company

I've had to leave one star or I would not be able to leave a review, this is a truly awful company, I ordered items in January, over £70s worth and they never arrived, I've contacted Abeygale via Facebook and email and got no response at all, any posts regarding missing orders get removed, and I'm not the only one going through this, there are other people I've had contact with who ordered items the same time as me and they have not received their orders either, or had their emails etc responded to, this a terrible way to run a business, I'm now having to go through the process
with my bank to get my money back,

Awful customer service and no products received

I placed an order and never received it. I contacted Abey via email on multiple occasions and never received a response. I had joined a couple of the (paid) online quilt classes and had tried to ask Abey regarding my order via the chat but my comments would be ignored. I wrote a post in the group, it was deleted. I tried messaging via Facebook and eventually, she blocked me and removed me from the groups. I ended up claiming from my bank for the refund. A very stressful 3 months which could have easily been sorted with decent customer service. Very disappointing.

Avid Crafts is a small business with…

Avid Crafts is a small business with potential, but my experience has been mixed. While some customers praise the attentiveness and community feel, my order experienced significant delays, leading to a claim through my bank. Customer service was slow to respond, which was disappointing. Hopefully, they'll improve in the future.

Unbelievable customer service

After almost two weeks of purchasing from the website, I asked for an update via email to see when my order would be shipped, had response to say the team had been ill and the items would be shipped, two months later, no parcel, no email response, claimed back through my bank, will purchase alternative of amazon, thought supporting a small business was a better option, but not always the case

Avid Crafts is an amazing small…

Avid Crafts is an amazing small business giving great attention when dispatching orders. Always makes my day when the package drops through the letterbox. The live sessions on Facebook are always amazing with some fabulous makes all expertly demonstrated by Abeygale. Thank you Abey and all the team😊

Appalling customer service

Very disappointed, customer service absolutely awful. I placed an order that did not arrive so I emailed, waited a week for a reply, emailed again. Gemma replied that Abeygale would look into it.This continued for 2 months until I put a claim in through PayPal and received a refund.At no point did I hear from Abeygale and even since receiving the refund and leaving the fat quarter club and her other club I have still not heard anything. I had really enjoyed her clubs up until this point but was totally ignored when this issue happened. Please bear this in mind if you are considering joining.

So after being kicked out the group for…

So after being kicked out the group for complaining an item hadn't been received I got an email saying abeygale would send the item but not the discount code that was fine but a month later the item is still not here.... I have started serveral cases now with PayPal and have had every penny refunded also Facebook group policy says abaygale can not charge you for a service and then limit access to those paid events.... abeygale loves todo this so please be careful she fully states that all Facebook lives will be there for ever they won't be if she blocks you like she did me. If she does do this request a refund via PayPal u will get your money back and report to Facebook. Also abeygale has tried to take the 3.49 for the subscription group she cancelled on the 5th of May. If you are blocked from the group you can not cancel your subscription payment but ot will Continue to go out. Lucky for me I hadn't updated my payment method. Please be very careful what you see is not what you get x

FYI I do not have access to any of your payment information.
The subscription group is done via Facebook and all monies go to them directly and they collect the funds.
If you continue to post slanderous comments like accusing me of taking money from your account I will have no option but to report you.

Poor Customer Relations

Based on my experience detailed below I will not be recommending Avid Crafts to my sewing/crafting friends as their customer relations leave a lot to be desired. I have not dealt with a small family business that appears to have such a disregard for a customer, they seem to believe if they ignore an issue long enough then it will go away.

12 February: Placed order for 2 Magic Pressing Mats.

23 February: As I had not received any notification of my order being despatched I sent an email asking if it was on its way.

24 February: Received email from Gemma saying that the mats were being despatched ‘this week’.

12 March: I sent an email advising that my mats had still not been received.

15 March: Received email from Gemma saying she would let Abeygale know.

23 March: I sent email asking Gemma if she had heard anything about my mats.

24 March: Received email from Gemma saying she was waiting for a reply from Abeygale.

30 March: I sent an email saying I had been patient for long enough and requested a refund within 10 days.

31 March: Received email from Gemma saying she would forward my email to Abeygale.

14 April: Whilst completing the form to make a claim for a chargeback via my credit card I received an email from Paypal saying I had received a refund.

I have not received anything from Avid Crafts with an explanation as to why I did not receive what I ordered nor any apology. Appalling!
