The Garden Centre is so reasonable and the quality of the goods is outstanding but the jewel is the café great coffee lovely cakes with options for those with allergies. I shouldn’t be telling you this because they go so quickly but then sundried tomato scone is amazing and it even comes with flavoured butter.
The staff are all really smiley, helpful and accommodating.
Stopped off to have a coffee in the Avonfield Gardens on a Saturday afternoon
Was not made welcome, was told they close at 4.00 (ok) but it was 3.50 pm and weren’t serving!
Spoke to the owner/manager of the garden centre, said he would let the kitchen people know - but wasn’t bothered.
Won’t be going back there
This is an excellent plant centre with a helpful and knowledgeable staff. All the plants I have bought here have thrived and there is a huge choice to please any keen gardener. Prices are fair and there are plenty of accessories to choose from , lovely pots and ornaments for your garden. It's well worth a visit. You can also have a drink or a meal in the new cafe.
Parking is easy and if you find buying heavy bags of compost a chore, there is always someone at hand to help.
