I can't install it I really have a phone and I don't have a PC

It's .. bad.
First i can't zoom in or out, meaning i cannot make up to fasters. Next, it only allows me to move text. not size text. and it didnt even allow me to save my changes with the text effect for my meme!

I have been reading negative reviews of AVS on this page. I have used AVS for years, and, as far as I am concerned, it is the best of the best. I don't make videos as often as I used to, but when I do, this is what I use.

DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTARE! THIS COMPANY SCAMS THE LIFETIME LICENSES AND WILL NOT HONOR REINSTALLS ON NEW MACHINES IF OLD ONE GOES DEAD, LOSES A HD, OR BECOMES OBSOLETE.

UPDATE: THEY'VE ADMITTED THEIR LIABILITY TWICE BEFORE AND PROPERLY REINSTATED MY SOFTWARE. BUT NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY CLAIM IT IS NOT POSSIBLE. SO, WHICH IS IT? GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF RECTAL DEFILADE.

4/18/25 UPDATE: THESE A-HOLES KEEP REPEATING THE SAME COPY AND PASTE FEEBLE EXCUSES REPEATEDLY, AS IF SAYING THE SAME MINDLESS THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN FIXES ANYTHING. AND THEY ARE ALWAYS "SO SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE." DON'T BE SORRY, JUST FIX IT AND BE LIKE EVERY OTHER REPUTABLE SOFTWARE COMPANY, INSTEAD OF A SCAM COMPANY WITH A 30% DISAPPROVAL RATING.

AS I'VE SAID MULTIPLE TIMES IN MY EMAILS, I'D FIRE YOU IF YOU WORKED FOR MY COMPANY LIKE THIS.

MY NEXT STEP TODAY IS TO FILE A REPORT WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION (FTC), AND I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE WHO'S BEEN SCREWED BY THIS COMPANY TO DO THE SAME. ENOUGH ATTENTION AND THEY'LL COME DOWN ON THESE THIEVES LIKE A TON OF BRICKS AND STOP THEM IN THEIR TRACKS. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

UPDATE 5/7/2025: I have submitted a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission and I encourage everyone to go tell their story at FTC.gov. FTC Report Number 187132517. It reads as follows:

What happened:

In 2012, I purchased the Unlimited Subscription for AVS4YOU.com software. It is allowed to be used on three machines, which I did. Then, we lost a hard drive and replaced the machine. When we reinstalled our software, the UNLIMITED license would not activate. I contacted AVS4YOU with the problem and they pulled a bait-and-switch and informed me the UNLIMITED license was tied to only one machine, and not the purchasing entity, as is the industry standard for all other reputable software companies. I argued fiercely over their fraud and they acknowledged the problem and reinstated my software. A couple of years later, Windows stops supporting Win 7 and we have to buy new machines, whereupon we run into the same problem once again! I contact AVS4YOU and argue the same issue again over several days, until they finally relent and reactivate my Unlimited license a second time. Fast-forward to 2025 and we have the same issue a third time, only this time they are adamant about their refusal to acknowledge the fraud and make it right. They mindlessly refer you to their Terms of Service, which you must go hunt up on other areas of their site, that tell you all the limitations of their UNLIMITED license, which in reality is NOT UNLIMITED by any stretch of the imagination. PCs are built with planned obsolescence every 3-5 years, which means they are for all intents and purposes useless after that time. Many computer systems in business are depreciated the first year and replaced. Every other reputable software company in the world licenses their software to a legal entity (Individual or Company), and NOT a specific machine with a very limited useful lifespan. AVS4YOU knows this and is deceiving the public with their advertisements of a 1-year subscription VS their UNLIMITED subscription. They mislead the buyer with this verbiage, then when you fall for the bait, they tell you that you should have gone searching their other pages on their website for the disclaimers that the UNLIMITED license is in fact very limited. The trouble with that argument is, AVS4YOU advertises on every e-commerce site in the world, but only displays the 1-year VS the UNLIIMITED options, with NO disclaimers at all in the third-party ads. So, if you rely solely on the ads being used to market the software, you never see the disclaimers that are hidden on the actual website. Very few consumers who purchase things off of Ebay, Amazon, or any other third-party marketer, Value Added Reseller, or Affiliate, actually ever jump to the manufacturer's website to go down the rabbit hole. They take at face value the local ads that are devoid of disclaimers and are duped into the bait-and-switch, after it is too late.

DO NOT BUY FROM AVS4YOU UNTIL THEY MODERNIZE THEIR T.O.S.

Their products aren't too bad, but there are a number of other places that are more user-friendly (imo) and have basically the same number of options.

However, the real problem with AVS4You comes when your PC dies and you have to get a new one. Now, they'll say that it's clearly listed on their site that it's per computer - and it is, if you expand their FAQs - but PCs don't last forever, so that "unlimited subscription" is not really unlimited. Other companies - even Adobe, for cryin' out loud - let you deactivate one PC's license to use it on a new one. That's how "one PC" should be done, and generally is by most companies - even those considered by many to be the "greedier" ones. Not AVS4You: if your PC dies, that's *your* problem and you won't be using their products unless you re-buy them.

DVDfab,DBPoweramp, and others are much better options because you can not only install on new PCs, but more than one. AVS might be "cheaper" in the short run, but if you want a product that actually lasts, this is actually more costly in the long run.

Until that changes, I'm not getting any more AVS4You products, and I'd advise against anyone else buying from them, too.

This is a great product for usability, but be mindful that their licensing cannot be reset for use on a different device at any point. For me, this is a dealbreaker and I will never use this product again. I bought an "unlimited" license thinking I would have this product for life. When I changed computers, the license key no longer worked. I'm the IT Manager for a large organization, and every other company I've worked with has a method of resetting registered devices under a license for this circumstance. This is what their support told me:

"AVS4YOU Software is licensed on a per computer basis. Each license purchased is bound to one particular computer and allows using AVS4YOU Software on that single computer. If you install and use or reinstall AVS4YOU software on any other computers you will have to purchase an additional license for each computer. If you change a computer, you will have to purchase an additional license. All updates and upgrades for AVS4YOU Software are free for a user throughout the period of AVS4YOU license validity."

Wonderful product BUT (and they do not tell you this) know that video editor VEP file will ONLY work on the computer you build it on. Need to buy a new computer? Try to move and use VEP files to the new computer (which also has the video editor - you're screwed. Try to open them on a newly purchased AVS4YOU - screwed. Now you have to edit all videos that you produced earlier with the MP3 that you created. Has anyone ever heard of a file made that you cannot use on another computer which has the same program? No

I used AVS Video Editor a long time ago, but I really liked it so much! Easy for making tutorials, demos, etc. Keep the work, you are making it so better!

Truly pathetic product and their customer service is the same. i purchased the unlimited license and have since replaced a failed HDD and can no longer use the software because it is deemed to be a new computer. let me educate you AVS4YOU, replacing a failed hard drive is not replacing a computer. it is the same computer that has been repaired. Lifetime Software license means nothing people. It is a bunch of false information masked to sound appealing
and to the person from AVS4You who is going to send a scripted response !! don't bother. Your response will be as garbage as your product and service

Great product, but very bad and misleading "Lifetime License". Unlike other software companies that offer lifetime licenses, meaning you can install the product on 1 PC at a time, so when you get a new PC, you deregister the license and put the software on the new PC, AVS allows the lifetime licensed product to be installed on ONLY one computer, period. They should rename their Lifetime License to "Lifetime of the PC license". If you buy a new PC, you cannot reinstall the software and expect the "lifetime" license to be valid. It isn't. It is lifetime of the PC only.
