Shocking service
Visited the Guildford branch and paid for a number of items including concrete spurs and fence capping strips. "Please wait outside by your car". And so I waited and waited but no products. I was the only customer during my visit. Half an hour later, my items were brought to the car, after complaining. "We never heard the bell" said one of the fork lift drivers scurrying around in the yard. What an efficient system in 2021! Pathetic insincere apology. Can only assume trade and retail are treated differently. Bye, bye AVS. Play games with your other customers, if there are any left.

We have spoken to our Guildford Branch Manager, who also wishes to extend his apologies.
Whilst the delay was down to a communication failure by our staff, we would wish to reassure you that we always aim to provide all of our customers, both trade and retail, with an excellent service and we are sorry that in this instance, we fell short of expected levels.
Not great to be honest
Having placed an online order 2 days previously and then telephoned on Saturday morning to ascertain if I could pick order up - still had to wait a fair while whilst they found and collated my order. I am now going to have to wait not sure how long while the boards dry out (they were soaking) in order that I can cut to size.

We were recommended to order via AVS by a friend who always uses them and were glad we did. Ordering online was straightforward, following which they kept me up to date re progress towards delivery. The delivery was then on time and the delivery driver was very helpful and made the effort to place everything in what was a more awkward position for him but one that meant we could still use the driveway. All round very helpful and efficient.

There was quite a wait for the post
There was quite a wait for the post. There seemed to be about 6 people talking and drinking coffee in the office and only 2 people actually doing any work in the yard and they were dealing with a large delivery.

Bought some fence panels, posts and trellis and collected from the Guildford branch. Friendly helpful staff. Quality of the products is mostly good (ie better than DIY stores), and reasonably costed. Recommended.
