I paid $159 for a lifetime membership…

I paid $159 for a lifetime membership on Badoo and my account was suddenly disabled without explanation. I never violated any terms, and support has only sent generic template replies with no clear reason or solution.

I’ve already provided proof of payment and requested either reinstatement or a refund, but there’s been no meaningful response. Under basic consumer protection standards, a company can’t retain funds for a service it no longer provides.

I’m still open to a fair resolution — I’ve even offered to pay a reinstatement or administrative fee just to regain access to the service I already paid for. All I’m asking for is accountability and a proper human review.

If Badoo values its customers and reputation, please escalate this to your billing or compliance team and resolve my case.

HONEST REVIEW

Well to start I like the name now the bad thing first the colors of the interface for god red, second there are several things that are wrong in the subject of locations if for example I am from Spain and I want to meet people from another country I have to change my location that there are times that I don't, that's because there is simply no option to suggest people from another country, third there are tons of fake profiles of Africans who want to scam, you report them and nothing in addition to men posing as women or OnlyFans bot to get money from people because there are no moderators, fourth in the chat you cannot send videos, audios, images or make video calls, it's terrible, the safest thing is that at least video calls are allowed, profiles that are not preferred are filtered and then the worst thing is the monetization God, like if I make a match I have to pay to be able to say hello, I accept it as long as I know who sends you, I like to send to premium profiles, increase the reach of the profile or like limit but the basics, they want our money so much anyway. I would not recommend it if it weren't for the fact that in the market all the others are worse.

Fraudulent app

This app is fraudulent. I don't understand how Google keeps it on the play store..
Sounds like complicity..
In short, the app uses an algorithm to limit visibility so that the user is given the impression that he is not visible just by chance.
The user is convinced to pay for what is called Premium.
The Premium option promises you unlimited swipes.
After purchasing it, you will see that there are no more profiles available in your entire country. Although there are hundreds of profiles available in "the world around you". Only there you have to pay 250 credits again for a single message. This after you have already paid for the Premium feature..
This is called fraud.
Then immediately after you pay, you become even less visible, but you are offered a solution: pay and you will be more visible..
A merchant who sells a product offers you the product.
Badoo or bumble because that's the company, they create obstacles, then propose solutions, pay and you will have a better experience.
How about going to buy bread for example and instead of a loaf of bread you get a slice and then pay again and you are given a few crumbs and those moldy ones?
That's kind of how badoo does it..
I don't know how the person who owns the application hasn't been arrested yet, because in addition to fraud they exploit millions of people.

Badoo New Zealand

Badoo NZ – The landfill of online dating

Used it a couple of times over the years — 2018, 2020, 2023 — just to see if it had evolved beyond being a digital swamp. It hasn’t. In New Zealand, Badoo feels like the end-of-the-line bus stop for dating apps — where all the blocked, banned, and broken profiles from Tinder and Bumble go to die.

It’s full of ghost accounts, fake profiles, and the occasional person who looks like they’re recruiting for a gang rather than a relationship. A surprising number seem tied up in nefarious activity — the kind of people who treat “dating” apps as marketplaces for everything but dating. Scroll long enough and you start to wonder if you’re browsing the underbelly of society rather than a social platform.

Most profiles look abandoned or recycled, bios half-finished, photos blurry or straight out of a mugshot compilation. The active users are few, far away, and somehow all give off that unmistakable energy of don’t meet this person in real life. It’s as if Badoo collected every sketchy corner of the internet, gave it a faint blue interface, and called it a dating app.

If dating apps were a food chain, Badoo would be the pond scum clinging to the bottom — slimy, stagnant, and somehow still multiplying.

⭐ 0/5 — Feels less like an app and more like a public service announcement about what not to download. Use only if you’ve already given up hope and want proof others have too.

Many profiles with fake locations.

Many profiles have fake locations.
So don't bother buying premium to contact anyone because they will almost be in the US or Africa but with UK on headline.
The moderators are not interested in removing fakes.

My impression about Badoo

Badoo is especially based on matching people using photos and it seems many people don't read the profile texts at all. That causes problems with matching, it seems many people (in my case women) lose their interest after we begin to talk and get to know more about me. Similarly, I don't like profiles without any texts. It would be nice if Badoo changes its matching system so that people will see the profile text first and photos only after that and that it is mandatory to write something about himself/herself. I would also appreciate more filters, especially, I want to see the profiles only that have a reasonable text (long enough) in their "about me" section. Or for example, filtering by colour of hair or eyes.

I also don't like that you can pay to be "more popular" and some similar things, that's not fair, is it?

F this app and anything about it.

this Fake app is Evil whit only fake profiles, dont download it also the toxic addons are very annoying and They wil lure you in with a fake like so they hope you'll sign up for a subscription to see who liked you, and then it's someone from Africa who wants to scam you, possibly paid by them, because you can report them, but nothing is done with it, and they ignore your problems with this app. So don't download this app because it's a real scam.

This is a really bad dating app

This is a really bad dating app
Maybe the worse. A lot of people is complaining about Badoo because the block profiles after you paid. Apparently the service is too loaded and can have too many profile. So, they charged you and the they invent an excuse to block your profile. In my case they say I was impersonating someone else, I asked them to verify my identity in facebook where they can see my pictures(with my face!!!) and my name. Funny thing is that verify my identity at the beginning and everything was ok. But after I paid they verify my profile again and then they blocked. I request a new verification and their "investigation" department confirm my profile was "fake" and of course they keep the money. I am fighting for a refund now. They people are scammers

Badoo is Legit...and free

For a free app (you can pay to unlock more features, but you can still use the free version effectively) Badoo is really great. I meet a lot of women on here and it is very easy to navigate the app's interface.
You do get some popups, but they're manageable. Good app with REAL people...not bots.
