Warning! Do not trust with your batboat!

Absolute nightmare. He destroyed my RT4. 6 months later and my boat is worse now than it was before. Avoid if you ever want to use your boat again.

My Raymarine Wifish stopped working. Carplounge was going to be 6 weeks just to look at it so I phoned this place at the beginning of July. He claimed he could fix it in a couple of days if it was urgent.
I dropped the boat off in mid July hoping to get it back quickly. I teach so had the summer break coming up and I was booked to go to France at the end of July.
He took the boat off me, 3 or 4 days later, he tells me he was going on holiday for two weeks. The boat was untouched.
I had to cancel France, I rebooked for the last week in August.
He returned and started to work on my boat. He told me the Raymarine was shot. They don't make them anymore so I would need to locate one or put a different echosounder in.
I needed a working boat so I opted to get a Deeper Chirp 2 and get him to install internally. I gave clear instructions how to do this, supplied a brand new Deeper Chirp 2 (£349) and standard araldite to attach the transducer (any other glue introduces air bubbles and prevents the transducer working properly). He ignored the instructions and used superglue!
He also broke the ribbon cable to the water sensor rendering the echosounder inoperable.

He then, told me the boat was ready. Last week in August. Yes, second France trip also cancelled.

I went and collected it, paid £300, only to find I'd got a boat that had working LED'S but little else, still no echosounder. He couldn't even get the LED'S right, he put a blue in instead of the red it was supposed to have.

He also put a new radioset in, it keeps freezing out and disconnecting.

I contacted him, numerous times, he claimed he would get me another water sensor. It never materialised. He destroyed a Deeper Chirp 2, bodged the repair, and no offer of compensation or anything. Another UK boat repairer said he couldn't sort out the mess. He was also surprised no one had punched the owner at Baitboat Works (works, should be will never work again).

I have just removed the broken Deeper and the boat is now going to Carplounge to be restored. With all the repair costs, overall, I could almost have bought an RT7!

Seriously, do not send a boat to this ****.
