It’s easy to see why in most cases Garmin is the standard when it comes to cycling gps/computer. Costly yes but the quality shows. I use in mainly as a gps for days out however the possibilities are almost endless. Also hoping to tour Europe next year and garmin has this covered too.

I was very disappointed with the mapping. It is not in colour as the adverts suggest and trying to follow the route guidance in dark red is almost impossible to see ( the old blue was great). The battery % is showing that it should last as long time before needing a charge

Garmin, finally have sorted out a few problems that I have experienced frustratingly with most models up to this point. Slow unresponsive screen and battery life being the most important to me. The 1040 solar is super fast to respond and the solar function actually works! However, there is a new problem I have encountered that should be easy enough to fix. Why have a large easy to read screen that can display a lot of data but during live segment Kom attempts when you need that data most, the time data is do small it can’t be read easily..Only 4 stars as this still is an awesome piece of kit but it is so expensive!
