Checked it out. All good, but it is a Christmas present from my wife. So I can't comment further at this time. But I would be surprised if it isn't anything short of brilliant.

I wanted a backup GPS unit to use when I didn't want to use the Garmin or it was out of battery, it's always useful to have a second unit, and the price that Balfes had these at was too good to miss. The unit itself is fine, battery about 8 hours on max brightness, and very clear screen and clarity better than my Garmin actually for seeing the digits.
