Went with a budget and idea of new sewing machine I had saved for. The lady who helped me was AMAZING! All the staff were kind and helpful. The lady showed me a few different ones and opened my eyes to some other option which was actually under my budget but more suited to my needs. The lady then demonstrated the one I wanted to try and let me have a ‘play’ with it too. She was really knowledgeable too. I went with a different machine than the one I’d planned on getting but I got the best and better one. Went for the Brother F420. I LOVE it! I ordered it on the Friday and it came on the Wednesday (could have been earlier if I wanted to). Bambers were also great and accommodating and provided additional parts that Brother had out of stock. So all in all a wonderful experience and I’ve been recommending Bambers to EVERYONE! It made the buying of my new machine extra special being able to get it in an actual shop with real people!

The service is amazing. I needed a walking foot for my 60 year old Swiss sewing machine and Bamber Sew had exactly what I needed. Whatever I need for sewing in the future I will definitely order from them.

I took my sewing machine to Bambers in Eccles for a service because it was playing up. The owner looked at it and asked how I was threading the machine. It turned out there was nothing wrong with the machine. It was just me threading it incorrectly. He did a number of test runs and it worked perfectly. He did not charge me! What a lovely personal service we had today, thank you very much. I would highly recommend Bambers not only are they passionate about sewing machines and very decent people, they have an amazing haberdashery upstairs. Hard to find these days!

I took my very old, cheap sewing machine to have a service. The staff were so pleasant and helpful and the service they provided was exceptional. I highly recommend these lovely people and the service they provide

I had a 30+ year old machine which was cheap when I bought it. I started sewing classes and decided I needed something better. I was recommended to come to Bambers by my sewing class teacher. I was not disappointed. I explained what I wanted and my rough budget. I was shown a range of machines in the right ballpark with a good explanation about the differences. Good demonstration of what the machine could do including thick denim, fine chiffon and buttonhole.

I then asked what the extra £50 for the next machine up would give me and decided that was something that I would like. We did this twice until I decided that I didn't need another 15 different stitches. At no point did I feel that I was being pressured to buy a more expensive machine.

Before we paid Steve looked up to see what offers there were and was delighted that there was a quilting kit as a bonus.

I ordered it on Saturday and it was delivered at lunchtime Tuesday.

Excellent service, would definitely recommend.

I rang in the morning to ask if they fixed automatic threader - I was told yes but I might have to leave my machine. Was happy to do that. When I arrived, staff were amazing, my machine was fixed within half an hour, great staff, great price, can highly recommend - thank you - Teresa (StHelens), will always use your shop in future

I had given up hope of ever being able to use my vintage Elna lotus machine until I took it to Bambers.

I have purchased machines from Bambers when they were based in Manchester and continue to do so. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The service support is par excellence going over and above. After visiting the showroom twice I was really confident that Bambers was were I wanted to get my 6 needle machine from, really easy to order and I was given and in house demo. A week later my machine was deliver fully assembled and ready to go, I was shown all functions of the machine thoroughly and the guys made sure I was confident and happy in the use, I’m returning for more training soon and cannot recommend enough, I’m extremely happy with every aspect of my purchase. My mum and I have between us four machines fixed from these guys. Very knowledgeable.
I had an old embroidery machine that hasn’t been working for sometime. Now fixed. Small repair on my regular sewing machine (presser foot lever). Even added a small screw the local guy who supposedly service it missed - and he was told about it. Both jobs had detailed work sheet explaining what had been done. Very very happy.
We travelled just over an hour and a half each way and it was worth it to have them repair the machines. They are very knowledgeable. Will not be using anyone else now!

Studied the website and then made a two train journey to the shop. Was greeted quickly by a fabulous lady who listened and then suggested a few machines based on my needs. She then demonstrated the one I liked the most. This included letting me using the machine. I purchased the machine and then a few additional bits. Both ladies staffing the shop were professional
and so friendly and helpful. I'm absolutely thrilled to bits with my new machine! No negatives at all with my experience. Thank you so much! Such personal service was much appreciated!

I left my old sewing machine in with Bamber for a repair (I'd dropped the machine!) and a long overdue service. I collected it a few days later and was amazed at how well the machine had been repaired and how thorough the service was. Bought my overlocker from Bambers some years ago and it's been long overdue a service for some time. My machine had seized up despite oiling so booked it for a repair.
