Lovely online shop!

My go-to for children's presents!

Found Bambinista years ago in London and it's now my go-to for online present shopping! Everything I have bought is of the highest quality and with such a big range it suits the ages of all the little ones in my life! Last order of the pull along Elphee was (#67540) was an absolute hit.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. Only buy what you are certain you want to keep. This is a small company and I wish I had read the many negative reviews before buying.

I bought two multipacks of Bonds kids underwear- they are expensive.

Immediately they arrived my teenager said they would not fit ( they are the same size as those bought last year).

The company would not accept immediate -same day- returns of the unopened multi packs.

The company wrote a really insincere and perfunctory email saying a return was not possible.

Obviously I understand there is a hygiene issue around sale of underwear but an immediate same day return of a sealed unopened package should be possible.

Also it was so patently insincere. It is clear the company are not interested in Customer Service or repeat business but only securing the sale.

There is not much I can do, I will accept a £30 loss, but I am posting this so that other buyers are warned.

Update
I feel bound to report that the company have been in touch with a polite email and apology for the appearance of insincerity, they have also revised their decision to permit a return and refund under the circumstances. It is brave to course-correct following an error and I appreciate these gestures.

PPS I updated my original review and star rating in the Update section above some time ago, as I wanted to be fair and acknowledge that the company had reached out to accept the return and make a refund and apologised for the original email tone. I also acknowledged that it is hard to reverse a decision and I appreciated it - which I did.

In response to the delayed reply from the company today I want to make clear that contrary to what they say I did return the underwear and I was not told I could keep it, either verbally or in writing.

I wish any small business especially one run by women every success. We reap what we sow.

To clarify the situation, you requested to return childrens underwear which clearly states in our ts and cs that we cannot accept returns on underwear for hygiene purposes. Can you imagine putting your child in underwear that has already been worn by others? Due to the packaging, it is almost impossible to tell if it has been opened and worn and repackaged, or never opened.

After you contacted us, my customer services lady reached out to me and asked what to do. I said, we prioritise our customers happiness and said she could refund you AND you could keep the panties as I wouldnt want to resell them onto another customer, in case they had been tried on. You HAVE been refunded and you still have the underwear. I am not sure what else we could do? A 2 star review is unfair and unwarrented.

You are correct that we are a small business, run by 4 mums trying to juggle work around our kids. Hopefully a reasonable potential customer reading this review can see that we went well above what would be expected from any retailer. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to show exactly how much we care about customer service.

False advertisement with lower price and invoice you additional fees later

They advertised the car seat with a discounted price. I placed an order with added shipping fees of $21. After order was confirmed, they sent me an invoice for additional $99 for large item shipping. They already knew car seats are large items. So, why not have the "shipping calculated" according to the location at the check out? It's shady business with false advertisement to attract customers by showing lower advertised price and turned around to send another invoice with additional charge.

By selling the items, they should already know the total weight of each individual item including the packaging. It should not be hard to get the exact shipping amount calculated by a system on the check out page. But invoicing a customer after paying for the total price shown is a shady business.

Hiya. So we clearly state at checkout that large items will incur extra shipping fees. Since you ordered a very large item, we had to get the best shipping quote we could and invoice you for that exactly as is mentioned at checkout "larger items may incur additional shipping charges". Its always up to the customer if they want to proceed with the order or if the cost to ship from UK to USA is to much, we gladly cancel and refund. So if you thought the shipping fee that we were very clear may be dependant on the delivery location was unexpected, we very happily will cancel and refund you. No need to keyboard warrior and try damage the reputation of a business run by a mum trying to support her family. Well done you!

Adorable Things

This is the most adorable baby store. They have the sweetest things and it’s the best for gifts. They also have a ton of products for babies that are really innovative and new. I keep telling friends with kids to check it out!
