Dr. at Banfield Stockton lied about my frenchie's breathing in an attempt to get her spayed

I took my 5mo frenchie Xochie in because her umbilical hernia appeared bigger. Dr. Wright called me and told me that my frenchies nostrils were completely closed. That she was not able to breathe through her nose at all. That i needed to have her spayed because no one would do a BOAS surgery without her being spayed. Dr. Wright also implied that no doctor would perform her hernia repair or tooth extraction without her being spayed. I told them that my I planned to breed Xochi when she was old enough. They told me how it was unethical to breed her because of her closed nostrils. When I picked up Xochi I watched and heard her sniffing everything. I called and requested that Dr. Wright call me back. I asked the doctor why Xochi was sniffing and breathing fine if her nostrils were completely closed. They apologized if they made it sound like she could not breathe at all. They said the flat muzzle and pinched nostrils is a breeding defect and no responsible person would breed their dog with those traits. I pointed out that was something that frenchies are known for and they said yes it was irresponsible unethical breeding. I told them that it seemed like they were more concerned with having her spayed than assisting me with getting the proper care. I told them that I did not get Xochi from a puppy mill. I got her from a responsible breeder and that banfield ran a health screen and told me there was nothing genetic that should prevent her from breeding. This is not what I needed to hear from a vet when I'm concerned about a hernia. I said I wasn't spaying her. That should have been the end of that conversation. I should not have been preached to by this person. Great I get it they dont believe in breeding Frenchies. Then they shouldn't breed Frenchies. The entire experience was very upsetting to me. I am paying for a rather over priced plan for two dogs when that already had insurance because I thought banfield was good for basic care. I do not want Dr. Wright touching either of my dogs IF I decide to bring them in again. I will be contacting the corporate office as well as leaving a trust pilot review.
