3 years delay in case hearing

I had lodged a complaint against Bank Alfalah for unfairly putting all fraudulent transaction liability upon me back in year 2022 despite reporting the matter within 10 minutes and before funds were released to the merchandiser .Despite my pleas and hour long calls at their pathetic helpline and repeating one thing ten times to their super untrained staff, I wasn’t facilitated . They just didn’t understand the matter and said we can’t register a complaint until the merchandiser claims the amount which we will then put a dispute against. I was flabbergasted at their dumb staff .After conveniently causing the damage and not listening to me , the thug bank unilaterally decided the case against me ,putting entire liability on me without proof .When I told them I won’t pay until I hear from banking Mohtasib, me and my old parents were literally harassed by their recovery department and cheap third party vendors even when I was hospitalised for a procedure but they consistently called my number through different numbers and said extremely inappropriate stuff .As a single mother and sole breadwinner for my children and parents, I had to liquidate my jewellery that I had kept for my girls ,to pay off the forced amount as I couldn’t pay it off through my salary .

Super amazingly as soon as I paid the last instalment to Alfalah who coerced me to pay by putting extreme mental torture and tools of harassment , banking Mohtasib contacted me . It felt like the bank and banking Mohtasib was in partnership so once the bank recovered the whole amount , banking Mohtasib contacted me only after I paid . Before that for complete three years I did not receive a single response from them .i could tell all this was only to keep records straight so didn’t waste any further time in doing repeat telecast 10 more time to another disinterested party .

Best part is when you receive a call or miss a call from banking Mohtasib numbers , you never get through which again is equally frustrating so for such a dysfunctional working system , a poor common man can rest his case to Allah only .

Today , on February 28th , 2026 I received a final correspondence which was addressed to CEO Alfalah Mr.Atif Bajwa sharing the outcome . The only expression missing was a congratulatory passage and a smirk .

Rest in peace Bank Alfalah and its co conspirator banking Mohtasib !

P.S Bank Alfalah’s staff is so unprofessional from their misleading seniors to their lost cause juniors at customer care center & untrained helpline staff.Equally disappointed in Banking Mohtasib’s pace of response and service .

Justice delayed is justice denied !

Dysfunctional system of Banking Mohtasib of Pakistan

I filed Complaint Number: 2024-21307 against blatant violations, by United Bank Ltd. (UBL) of the decision of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for verification of overseas Pakistanis through the NADRA system, with the Banking Mohasib of Pakistan (BMP) more than six weeks ago, without hearing anything back from him. In the meantime, I sent several emails to his contact address, updating further developments in the case. asking them to include these in my case and update it, as well as requesting them to acknowledge the receipt of these and inform me about what is being done. I never received any reply from them. It seems that BMP is one of the numerous dysfunctional institutions that are operating in Pakistan, wasting time and efforts of overseas and other Pakistanis. Complainants were better off with the SBP's system of processing their complaints in timely manner. The switch to BMP system has created more problems and delays than before. One cannot contact the BMP and other officials under him directly, as their email addresses and phone numbers are not made public, while Wafaqi Mothasib has listed his own email address and phone number, as well as those of working under him on his site. These flaws of BMP are adversely affecting the complainants and their cases and need to be brought to the attention of Pakistani government, including the office of Pakistan's Prime Minister.

I only received a very brief email from an assistant investigator of BMP, Azeem Tariq, in which he did not address any of the clearly stated issues of my complaint which irrefutably prove that UBL is blatantly violating the above-mentioned order of SBP and illegally using and abusing the American Internal Revenue Service (IRS) W9 Form to harass overseas Pakistanis, like me. He only parroted what UBL told him that I did not comply with their standard procedures. I only refused to submit the American Internal Revenue Service (IRS) W9 Form, because of the above reasons. I submitted all the other required documents, including copies of my USA Passport and NICOP. UBL demands that I report my US income, tax returns, and Social Security Number Card (SSN) to it with the W9 Form, in order to verify my identity and update my profile and phone number. This is insane as these have nothing to do with the dormancy and reactivation of my Pakistani UBL account and is in violation of SBP decision. All this was clearly stated in the updated documents I had submitted to BMP. Azeem Tariq did not investigate any of that and did not reply to the three emails I sent him about these most important matters.

These problems with the BMP may force me to submit to the illegal and insane demands of UBL, in order to reactivate my dormant account, with the BMP reinforcing the illegality and violations of SBP decision by UBL.

I am located in the US. If I was in Pakistan, I would have filed the case in a court, instead of this dysfunctional and negligent BMP.
