WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

Visited on Sunday 29th June and had the worst customer experience ever from start to finish!

Was seated and told we would get menus which never came, signalled the server to bring menus and
Waited a total of 25 minutes. Server said he was bringing another menu but never did so went on the website to look at menu. 20minutes later someone else took my order. My friend was not hungry so only ordered wine, which they came back 10 mins later and said didn’t have Pinot Gricio. She then ordered another glass of wine and they came back a second time saying they didn’t have ANY wine! Which ‘Restaurant’ in the world does not have wine??

I ordered 1/4 chicken, Mac n cheese and plantain. Food arrived 1/2 hour later with 1/2 chicken, roast potatoes a Yorkshire pudding, cabbage and a side of Mac and cheese and a side of plantain. Told the server that I didn’t order all of this and she said she was going to get the manager who never came. I ate 1/4 of the chicken, took 2 bites of the bland Mac n cheese and a few bites of the plantain. I eventually Went to find the server who was supposed to get the manager and she was eating so asked someone else to get the manager. I was extremely upset at this point from the poor customer service! Explained to the 20 something year old general manager all what occurred and at no point did she apologise but proceeded to tell me I would be charged for the meal as they only serve roast dinners on a Sunday! I told her that NOBODY explained this and that I ordered from the website. She said ‘the website is down and EVERYONE knows to look on Instagram! I told her I am not telepathic and that at no point did anyone explain that there was only roast Dinners available. She called me hostile and said they were charging me the full amount of the bill £64!! I was absolutely livid!! Never been treated so poorly in a so called restaurant my entire life!!

Tried to state my case and told her that the customer is always right in these situations! This fell on deaf ears and clearly she and the workers do not understand what good customer service is particularly when you look at all the poor reviews. Paid my bill, went and sat in my car fuming, and left my friend there who was still trying to reason with so called ‘general manager’!
WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY! Avoid this place and save your money! There’s much better similar restaurants to eat at with OUTSTANDING customer service!

Will not be visiting this establishment…

Will not be visiting this establishment again. Management hang your head in shame. From not having the table ready for a 7pm booking, a table which was not sturdy, so constantly moved with you. There was 1 waitress bouncing between 5-6 tables. We waited for food to come out in dribs and drabs, when it did it was cold, over cooked and we watched plates sitting waiting to be given,for almost 5 minutes.
More enthasis was put on the takeaway service than the customers in the establishment. After reading the reviews and being eager to try it out.....its been a big disappointment.
Get more staff, or those standing around HELP YOUR COLLEAGUE.

Barbeach oh Hell No.

“I visited BarBeach Grill on Saturday 5th October 2024. with a reservation for 18:30 pm. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the start.”

2. Positive Aspects:
“The staff were friendly and the restaurant had a nice ambiance, although it was overcrowded.”

3. Areas for Improvement:
• “Despite arriving 15 minutes early, we waited 40 minutes to be seated, as others attempted to take our table.”
• “The table we were eventually given was cramped, and the restroom facilities were in poor condition.”
• “The service was extremely slow: drinks arrived after 40 minutes and half of the food was missing from the order.”

4. Impact on my Experience:
“This led to an overall frustrating experience, as we didn’t receive all of our food, portions were small, and the prices did not reflect the quality or service.”

5. Conclusion and Suggestions:
“I believe this boils down to poor management, as several previous reviews have mentioned similar issues. Improving the service speed, ensuring the restaurant isn’t overcrowded, and maintaining hygiene standards would greatly enhance the experience.”

Avoid at all cost

I can’t think of a single good thing about this place. Before you even enter the restaurant, it stinks. The entire area around it is permeated with the stench of burnt meat and old reused cooking oil. The set up is crammed, the service is shocking slow, wait for a glass of beer or cider is at least half an hour, even when the restaurant is empty. It’s way too loud to talk inside, the toilets are dirty and flooded, the meat is burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. One very unfortunate visit here cost me a bad food poisoning. Do yourself a favour and get a sandwich in the supermarket next door instead, it will be much better.

Worst Restaurant in the World!!

Without a shadow of a doubt, the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to in London, or the rest of the world. I’ve had better service and drinks at fast food restaurants in the most seedy parts of south east London. I was enticed to visit by the attractive looking cocktail list, as I do love a rum punch and anything sweet and boozy. I booked well in advance and was really excited to visit. As soon as I put my foot through the door I felt let down. I opened my mouth to apologise for being 10 minutes late for my booking due to road works. Before I could finish my sentence the server snapped that the time would be taken off my booking and looked at her watch sighing and muttering under her breath. We were “seated” a table halfway out of the doorway and with the menu table cutting into most of our seating our area making it cold and uncomfortable. I asked if we could be seated at another table for two that was empty but she said it was reserved for a large party. 90 minutes later said table remained unoccupied. We were not sure if we were going to eat so ordered one daiquiri each. This is all we had for one whole hour, despite several attempts to try and catch the attention of one of the servers. We were blatantly and rudely ignored, and for a lot of our time waiting had cleaning fluid sprayed all over us and our drinks as staff frantically tried to clean as it was so obviously overbooked. The uncomfortable seating and lack of service meant I had a lot of time to look around (I was trying to get their attention after all) and I noticed that there was only one person making cocktails. And literally everyone in there was drinking cocktails. Absolutely ridiculous - not the staff member’s fault but they need more staff to make drinks. Except they can’t have more staff as the space wouldn’t accommodate them. The venue is small and they’ve crammed in way too many tables to make it comfortable to sit in and this has obviously impacted on the service as I’ve read so many poor reviews since my visit about how slow it is. The greedy proprietor has massively overfilled the space to cram as many patrons as possible in at once and there aren’t enough staff. As I said more staff wouldn’t fit in as they are all getting in each others way as it is. There are more people preparing food than drinks so seeing other people being served the food came out quicker than drinks. After a long and thirsty hour we were able to order more drinks and we ordered two each so that we wouldn’t have such a long wait again. Both took ages to come again and the servers seemed to have forgotten our order and as we had an empty table and were looking around (bored) someone who was likely the manager pointed to us saying we were ready to order. We had ordered! Eventually our drinks came, they weren’t particularly tasty and very overpriced for the quality. While halfway through the first one a member of staff came over and abruptly asked if we were ready to pay. I asked if they needed the table back and they said yes so I stated that I wasn’t willing to pay for all of the drinks we had ordered as we didn’t have time to consume them due to their unacceptably slow service and asked for one to be deducted from the bill and also asked service to be removed. No apology. Advice to manager - take some tables out to improve the ambience, put less pressure on your staff, have more staff working to improve service in a space where they can actually work and keep up with orders. And clean your toilets when they flood, they were disgusting. And I slipped and almost fell on a lime that stayed on the floor for the 90 minutes I was unlucky enough to have there. You might get sued.

NEVER AGAIN…

Visited this establishment on Tuesday 30 August 2024. I was overcharged by £60. Called and was told to come in for refund. Went back, different story!! I showed my receipt but didn’t have my friend’s receipt plus I thought she paid cash. They would not listen, even spoke to Michael (manager) who said he’d call me back NOTHING!! Called again, no reply, called with no id, they answered!! Said would get Michael to call me….still waiting!! I now have full proof I’ve been overcharged but nothing!!

Great service and great food!

Great service, lively atmosphere, friendly waiting service and of course lovely and flavoursome food. In very close proximity to the Lewisham DLR and near various bus routes, so very easy to get to. The food is amazing and is incredibly eye pleasing. Great music and very trendy aesthetic! Would 100% recommend going for the bottomless brunch! Will most definitely be returning soon!😫

Great, Great, and Great

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere is how I would describe when I visit Bar Beach Grill. I have had many meals and never been let down. if you want to go out and have a great meal with friends or family, this is the place to go.
