Regular place to shop

I visit this shop every time I am in Exeter. I am impressed by their range of household goods, and the prices are very good. The staff are nice and chatty, and there is plenty of room in the aisles. I often come out of here with a trolley full of goods.

I purchased a Kramer folding stool at…

I purchased a Kramer folding stool at the Carnaby Bargain Buys on Sunday 6th October that was priced at £2.79. On getting home I checked my bill and I had been charged £4.99. As I live 5 miles away it means that I now had a 10 mile round trip to get a refund of the overcharging. I emailed them and they told me that they had never sold them at £2.79. I emailed them back with a photo of the stool package showing £2.79 and got told to go back and get it a refund,
I also bought 150 fatballs for wild birds, this was a waste of money as many of them were very small or broken. I suppose quality isn’t bargain buys byword.

West Bromwich

I went into West Bromwich store today and when i went to the till the cashier askedme if i had the 4p as my shopping came to £2.04 and i only had a £5 note. I said no sorry i havent got any change. The cashier looked at me like i was somethign she had just stepped in and then short changed me to compensate for the fact that she didnt have enough change in her till. Instead of saying something to me about it as after all its only 1p she did me out of she threw it at me and walked off. I never caused a scene as there was a queue, but staff shouldnt be short changing customers because of there lack of change.

no 1ps change in the store.

I went into bargain buys today and bought shopping amounting to £3.99. I gave the shop attendant a £20 note expecting £16.01 back in change. She gave me back £16 stating that no one was around to get the change from upstairs. I asked her if she had 2p to give me and she said no. I thought that this was completely unreasonable in terms of the principle of the matter. in fact, I think this was a bit of cheek. I thought that this business would not allow me to buy something in their shop if I was a penny short. I thought they should have closed the shop for a few minutes to get the change. What would have happened if i was waiting for a 10p or 50p change?
