I’m wary of sites that don’t take PayPal as a payment option, but this business seemed legit. I had to input my card info, unfortunately. It wasn’t until I had fraudulent charges on my card that I realized it had to be stolen from their site. It was the most recent purchase I made with my card and based on the other review, I can see this is a pattern. Do not use this website as it seems they’re not putting safety encryptions. Now I’m waiting for the fraudulent charges to clear and I’m hoping I get my money back…..

First.. let me say.. the product selection and customer service at Barista Pro Shop are excellent.

NOW let me say why I will never do business with them again.. and you should be wary of doing business with them, too.

I had my credit card number stolen and its use attempted. My bank contacted me immediately to validate a charge, it wasn't mine, and the card was cancelled. I couldn't figure out how my card got stolen.

I couldn't until the day Barista Pro Shop sent an email out explaining that during a database upgrade they left an un-encrypted copy of the credit card database on a server and that a bad actor found on their site. And of course the hacker took it. How did I find this out? Because Barista Pro Shop sent me a LOVELY email letting me know. Frankly I'm glad that they were so honest. At least I found out clearly where the card was stolen from.

Here's my problem - BPS new about the breach for THREE MONTHS BEFORE SENDING ME THAT EMAIL. They knew it happened and waited THREE MONTHS to "complete their internal audit" to tell me. If they had told me ONE MONTH SOONER my card wouldn't have been used.. I could have immediately called my bank.. so could LOTS of other people.

I told BPS that until they started accepting PayPal that I would discontinue doing business with them. To date they have not started taking PayPal. And I won't do business with them.

I would recommend that you steer clear of BPS.. they simply cannot be trusted with PCI (i.e. credit card) data.
