I think it all went pretty smoothly. I did have some trouble with uploading some documents, but that was fixed with a short call to the business. All in all, I got nothing bad to say.

Tried to become a customer on 5 …
Tried to become a customer on 5 seperate occasions by uploading the documents required via their web portal. Each time I was sent an email asking me to email them the same documents.
Emailing of documents is not a secure practice and such personal and sensitive information requires a secure and encrypted transfer.
The best they could come up with was to send copies via the postal system.
None of the customer service could help so I have given up and will sign up with a competitor who operates in the 21st century and who takes the security of my personal details seriously.
Basisbank will have an issue once GDPR regulations regarding personal data comes into force May 2018.
Customer service although totally unhelpful was polite enough.

Some development is required!
In my opinion your E-bank needs some development. Having a lån with you feels like one is walking in the dark :) Because cannot see what is going on.... A netbank and a more transparent system will help a lot.

At the moment we're not able to offer netbank to those of our customers, who only have a loan in Basisbank.
We do, however, provide all current information about your loan in the monthly payment letter or Betalingsservice notice.
