The checkout flow on the website failed…
The checkout flow on the website failed for technical issues on batronix' side, and I was left without any order confirmation, but money was reserved on my card.
The person responding to my support call the day after was able to fix things up. While things turned out ok, they came across a bit impatient during the dialog. I would have wished for a more apologetic tone and that they would have taken the trouble to give a bit more explanation of what had failed.

Just how good a tool is, any tool, is determined by it's ability to preform the task is was designed to do.
The Rigol 1054z simply excels at what it is, a superb entry level oscilloscope.
And don't let the "entry level" tag fool you, this is a very, very capable oscilloscope for any lab except ones with very specific needs.
Batronix shipped it immediately after purchasing it and it arrived quickly.
Great packaging too.
