2 batteries 18650 bought and both are doa, 4 puffs on my vape and they go from fully charged to empty. not happy and a waste of money

Super quick delivery, lowest price I could find and perfect product. Was looking for an oddball battery for a Moon bike light. Had no luck anywhere until I found B101 site. Perfect transaction and arrived 1 working day after my order via Royal Mail.

Battery 101 [hereafter referred to as B.101] offer a very wide range of battery products, competitively priced with free delivery on orders over £12. My review however will focus on my first ever B.101 order and purchase of Lithium Ion Rechargeable 18650 batteries.

18650 batteries ideally should follow the 18650 standard which is 18mm diameter and be 65mm long, hence the 18 65 0 product code [the 0 denotes a round profile battery]. But not all 18650 batteries are 65mm long.

All the online battery sellers I looked at did not state battery length in their listings, this makes it very difficult to order the right product if your equipment requires a specific battery type and size. The battery dimensions and all other technical specification data are clearly documented on the B.101 site and supported by a wide range of 18650 battery types & configurations [i.e. Flat Top, Button Top, Protected & Unprotected in a range of mah power ratings], this made it very easy to order the right battery first time.

Or at least it would do, if one does their battery selection correctly without error. Which unfortunately I did not. I made an error and ordered the wrong length battery as I had not done my 'homework' correctly and taken accurate measurements of the battery I was replacing. I only realised my error at the 11th hour and had a 2 hour window of opportunity to cancel & reorder my order before it was too late and my incorrect order shipped.

Given the urgency of this task, I looked for a telephone number to ring but could not find one and had to resort to using the online B.101 contact form. Given that many other sites rarely respond to form [email] contact the same day I did not hold out much hope of quickly resolving my error issue.

How wrong I was. I got an email response from B.101 [Simon Lee] within 20minutes confirming my order cancellation and that a refund had been processed. Five minutes after that I got an automated PayPal email confirming the refund. I then reordered the correct batteries I should have ordered and Simon emailed me straight back to confirm that my reorder had been processed and would be shipped that evening.

I am a prolific Internet shopper and this level of Customer Service I received was far beyond my normal Internet shopping experience with other retailers. B.101 will be my battery supplier of choice from now on based upon this very first order experience.

Just to note, unusually for an online retailer, there does not appear to be any option to set up a 'customer account' and each order is raised and processed on an 'ad-hoc' basis.

A super fast and efficient service, provided by Simon Lee, following my enquiry, which I was provided with sound advice, I placed my order, this was dispatched the same day and was with me ahead of schedule.
All in all, worthy of my 5 star award.
Not to mention the item was purchased at a very competitive price!

I rarely write reviews, but the service from Simon and team was fantastic. I'd been searching high and low for a very specific battery type and connector, to fix my Lezyne Macro Drive 600XL, and having no luck at all. I emailed Simon and, whilst they didn't stock the proprietary connector, he was able to custom fit a battery with the cables and talk me through everything I needed to solder and shrinkwrap the old connector onto the new cabling. Such prompt replies via email, when I'm so used to customer service emails sitting in a group mailbox for 3 days minimum! Very personalised, super responsive, would really recommend.

Quick delivery of a replacement battery for my Garmin watch and it was easy to replace. It should be like new now, as the original had 6 years of use but yet to be proven 👍

Ordered 4 Samsung 25R 18650 Li ion battery with solder tabs late yesterday afternoon - my Christmas present (mobile vac cleaner) arrived with 2 dead batteries, supplier was very good refunded the cost. So thought rather than chucking the cleaner I'd try and replace all 4 batteries and much to my delight its worked but was not as easy task. The batteries arrived early next morning!! excellent service.

Well packed and at a good price. Information on their web sit is also very helpful.

Unfortunately one of the battery cases was smashed,but that dosent effect the product,which it probably would of been damaged on transit which isn't battery 101's fault

I've not bought anything from battery101 since mid' 2022 but they have just sent me an email to review them!
I bought 2 pairs of 18650 Samsung 25R 2500 mAh flat top batteries, and at the time their service was quick, prices were good, and the batteries are still in use.
I'd use them again, but their email review system needs a little attention :)
