I loved BB&B when it was a store. I shopped there several times a month. This on-line store is awful. Their website is difficult to maneuver. Delivery takes too long. They charge way too much to return an item and make the return far too difficult. I ordered water goblets and the packing list said they were sent from Overstock.com. Also, what is a thermal printer required to print a label? I won't buy from them again.
Scammers! Bed Bath and beyond is an awful company now. I've given them 2 chances and gotten garbage merchandise both times and both times they tried to charge me for the returns. Bought a comforter from a legit brand and had random stitching loose threads. They were trying to to tell me the product was not damaged. Thats after having customer service on text not respond to my messages and an inordinate wait times for responses to my query. Had to demand to deal with a supervisor. Bought dinnerware set and after return tried to charge me nearly half the price ( 50 bucks for chipped dishes) because they say the return code was wrong. Thats again after waiting on text response that never came so I terminated and then was holding on the phone for customer service for an hour. They are a scam. This is deliberate. They hope you will give up. They must have a deal in which they are buying 2nd hand faulty product from companies and then try to sell it to you like its good product. Result of merger with Overstock.Got my money back both times because I am smart and pushy Miss the storefront. This company has zero credibility. Hated to give them even 1 star. The 20 percent off coupons are just a lure now to bad merchandise and no customer service support.
I'm never shopping here again! My chair is only 6 months old and is splintering. They referred me to the manufacturer and the manufacterer referred me back to BB&BEYOND. After going in circles and put on hold for long periods they said no refund or return. I'm stuck with a $500 chair that is only trash! DON'T SHOP HERE!
do not buy from this place I spent over $1000 on a piece of furniture just before it arrived after waiting for it for months they call me and said they lost it. They resend another one. The people delivered it they left it outside. This is a huge piece of furniture and refuse to bring it in. They were so rude. The delivery people I’ve had it all on security cameras, then when I finally got the wardrobe up and try to hire someone to assemble the wardrobe it was in all pieces. There was some holes missing. Some of the boards were broken. I tried calling bed Bath and beyond and they kept me on the line all three times for over an hour, nobody is helping me. I don’t know what to do. Whatever you do, don’t buy from them it is a nightmare. It’s not worth it. It’s costing me $600 to have someone assemble the wardrobe they have to drill their own holes. They have to repair some of the wood. It’s horrible. I don’t know why they do this. The customer service is terrible. I have spoken to my lawyers. I’m going to sue them for the money emotional damage and for the fact all my phone calls in my time so far just on this wardrobe talking to them it has cost me over 10 hours not to mention the extra cost to have people come to rebuild this wardrobe. They’re refusing to take my calls.
I recently ordered a roll-away bed ($260.00)
from Bed Bath & Beyond. Missing were instructions, screws and tools. The attempt to reach someone for help was unacceptable. Customer Service wait time was over 30 minutes. After 30 mins. I hung up. Tried 3 times. Decided to try their chat and that was not impressive. Anyway it has been over a week and still have not received screws or tools. Received instructions through a email. I decided to go to Lowe’s and purchase screws and tools. I will never purchase another item from BB&B again.

Worst retail experience ever! I ordered outdoor furniture online in the amount of $1685.04. I was home when it arrived, but the delivery people made no effort to contact me personally. No one knocked on my door or rang the doorbell. They left these big beaten, gouged, ripped and falling apart boxes leaning up against the wall next to my garage. I was NOT afforded the freedom of accepting or refusing the delivery. With something that expensive, you expect it to be mandatory. I absolutely would have refused the delivery based on the condition! I moved the boxes into my garage which remain unopened because I am afraid of what kind of damage will fall out. I contacted customer service. They asked me to send photos of the damaged boxes which I promptly did. Their reply was "since you filed a claim, you need to go through Extend to resolve." I did not file a claim and if a claim was filed on my behalf, it was done so fraudulently. Then they tried to backtrack and said well you need to file a claim through Extend because you have shipping protection under the warranty you bought. Hmmm, I never saw anything about shipping protection when I bought the warranty. I bought it in case of future issues with the furniture. I was told Extend would either provide a replacement or give me a gift card for part of full of what I paid. By that time, I was not happy about the way any of this has been handled. I didn't pay "Extend" $1685.04 for outdoor furniture. I paid that money in good faith to Bed Bath & Beyond. The warranty cost to Extend is $31.80. I emailed customer service stating those facts and requested they come pick up their beat-up boxes at their expense because I wasn't given the option to accept or decline delivery and I want a full refund of what I paid. This has been going on since September 2025 and they keep coming back with email insisting I file a claim and take a gift card. When I asked what kind of gift card, I was told it would be for Bed Bath & Beyond. Not a Visa so I could choose where to spend my own money. Oh no, they are holding my money hostage to this day. This is the most unethical business model ever. Its underhanded, unscrupulous and downright shady. I will not be forced by this company to spend another penny there! I have documented everything. I just want my money back so I can move on.
the website absolutely sucks spent over a hour trying to buy a goddamn over priced pillow but ive given up, fix your stupid website
I ordered a mattress pad from this company and it was to arrive in two days. It is now scheduled to arrive at least ten days later. The reason apparently is that it is being shipped from CANADA! I will now get a UPS invoice for tariffs and fees. A once great company is now a sleazy scam. Don't buy from them!
You can’t do a return with this company. I started a return on their website, the automated message says you will receive a return label in 2-3 days. Never received anything. I tried to call several time and the call just disconnects.
Bed Bath (which is not the real Bed Bath) and is really Overstock.com that bought the Bed Bath name... somehow renewed an old membership without my agreement or permission and wont cancel or refund my money!!! This is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!
I was not happy with the rug I purchased and wanted to return it for a different one. They want to charge me $20.00 to return it! That's absurd! Just confirms why I will stay with Amazon. I used to love BBB but not anymore. Sadly it's gone.
They charged for a membership and now refuse to remove. The call center says they can’t credit. Really the can’t or won’t. Now understand why the went bankrupt. Customer service sucks wait time to talk to a representative 48 minutes. That says a lot
Horrible horrible company. Marcus A. Lemonis Should be ashamed running such a horrible company.
Bed bath and beyond is extremely unprofessional and does not care about its customers.
They are not the manufacturer or have any real information about the products they are selling!
They outsource all of their deliveries and products from a third party partner, overstock. With out to date computer systems and communication they are running a business like a chicken without a head.
I purchased the couch on sept. 20. With an estimated delivery date of Oct. 3.
On Oct 1. I was told the manufacturer computer system was wrong and the product would take 7-10weeks to ship.
On Oct. 8. I was contacted by bed bath and beyond that the product would be shipped out on Oct. 20.
Then i was contacted on Oct 21 that the order was canceled due to inventory issue.
Despite the fact that bed bath and beyond still has the product up on their website to be sold and has an estimated delivery date of 3 weeks. Which wouldn’t make sense if my order was canceled because it was “out of stock”
After being left on hold for 3.5 hours. A uninformed supervisor told me the computer system is wrong.
There is nothing they can do and when the supervisor contacted the manufacturer on Oct 8. They were given wrong information.
No accountability. No solution. And was told, as an unhappy customer, the best they could do was issue a refund WITHOUT being able to re-issue the coupon i used/wasted on this purchase.
Bed bath and beyond is not a reputable business and lacks in customer service.
Do not buy anything from them
I ordered 2 lounge chair cushions that I wanted to return. It cost me 45 dollars to ship. Tried to call customer service, there was a 52 minute wait. Tried to use the chatbot, they kept asking me for information about me instead of helping me with my issue.
I BOUGHT A $33.00 SHOWER CADDY AND IT WAS DEFECTIVE. I WENT THRU THEIR RETURN PROCESS AND RETURNED IT. THEY REFUNDED ME $7.00 AND KEPT THE REST. I HOPE THESE THIEF'S GO OUT OF BUSINESS AGAIN. NEVER AGAIN BBB. IT COST ME AS MUCH AS I PAID FOR THE CHEAP THING TO RETURN IT. COMPANY HAS TURNED INTO THIEF'S.
Bed Bath and Beyond don’t give a shit about their clients once an order leaves their warehouse. Their customer service is non-existent.
A little less than a year ago I bought a queen size bed from Bed, Bath & Beyond. Recently, one of the flimsy 1” x 1” x 1 ft pieces of wood, that support the weight of both the mattress and the sleeper, split and needs replacing. Rather than use more expensive hardwood to support this important weight bearing spot, the 1’ x1” was made from cheap soft wood that split under the weight.
Bed, Bath and Beyond don’t really want to hear from their customers. There is no easy way to contact them and I had to rummage around their web site for a while before finding their 800. Number.
Alas, I have been listening now for over an hour to a recorded message lying to me, over and over again, how important my phone call is. Bed, Bath & Beyond does not care if their customers are dissatisfied with the shitty wares that have been foisted on them.
My big mistake was not to check the companies reviews before the purchase. My bad.
The company has a reputation for shitty quality of their products as well as for their non-existent customer service.

Please don’t make my mistake – go shop somewhere else.
You know a company is in trouble and shady when they refuse transparently disclose when you‘re in an autorenewal program for a loyalty program that you haven’t ever authorized and then refuse to refund you. It‘s not about the money, it’s the clear message that they‘d rather get $25 today…and lose me as a customer and potential revenue for the long term. Buyers stay away.
I got a gift card to this company and as I love candles and use them often I ordered a vanilla lavender candle and the same scent in shower steamers. For $50 I only got these two items.
The candle has very little scent and it is way overpriced. The same for the shower steamers. Hardly notice the scent. I don't know how this company gets away with their over pricing.
To be clear, I use many candles that have beautiful strong scents, so it is not me.
Objectively, Beware of shopping online at BB&B. If you want to return something, you can. But, in my case, 90% of the total cost of the item was kept by BB&B in the name of shipping costs. And then the return line is a 55 minute wait so it's very difficult and they would not do anything to help or keep me as a customer. I spent $68 on 3 pillows, and when I returned them, I received $61, so I received just less than $7 in the refund. Hence the 90% that BB&B kept as "cost of return shipping". I was expecting the cost of return to be about $7. I should have checked Trustpilot.
Terrible company to deal with. Returned a toaster for that cost $30 and was charged a $20 return shipping fee which they did not disclose to me. They sent a return label but no mention of the exorbitant fee.
Will never do business with them again.
