Title: Outstanding Service – Highly Recommend!

We approached Bentleys for our self build after they were recommended to us by a neighbor who had also used them for a self build.

From the outset it has been an absolute pleasure to work with them.

Their team is incredibly helpful, professional, and truly goes above and beyond to make the process smooth and stress-free.

What stood out the most was how approachable and accommodating they were, always ready to answer questions and adapt to our needs. Communication was seamless, and their expertise really showed in the quality of their work.

I’ve worked in construction and civil engineering my entire working life and don’t think a project ever proceeds without the occasional hiccup. However, Bentleys were always willing to help and resolve issues that were not always theirs to resolve. This reinforced my post purchase opinion of having made a good choice In choosing them for our self build.

We wanted to build a SIP extension to our home but difficult access to the rear garden and the modest size of the project (35m2) meant all of the large SIP suppliers refused to quote for the job. We came across Bentley Projects and they were helpful from day 1, seemingly not concerned by the constraints of our site. They worked closely with us on the design, engineering out any steel as we had requested and also giving us a uniquely shaped SIP roof as well as walls. Communication was good throughout the preparation and the whole structure went up without any major hitches in just under a week which was a huge benefit to us having lived for a couple of months with a huge hole in the back of the house!
We are very happy with their contribution to our unique extension project.

SIPs are aggressively marketed to self builders, they are expensive and not appropriate for all uses. If you procure SIPs through Bentley you will not be informed of their limitations until the project is complete and paid for. In our case the loading capacity of the panels was not sufficient but Bentley refuse to give you the structural calculations until the job is finished. We spent a lot on remediation works and delay. The payment terms are also unfair, you will have to pay 95% of the contract value before they arrive on site. Roughly an hour after the payment went through Bentley called and asked for more money. We would not normally sign up to such terms but a certain amount of trust is placed in a delivery partner of Kingspan. This trust is not deserved in this case
