I ordered catering from Berkeley Catering Ltd for a conference we organised on a Saturday. I placed the order through their website and paid online after exchanging clarification emails with the company. The day before the event, I received a phone call informing me that I had not been charged for Saturday delivery and that an additional £42 was required.

I explained that the price had been calculated directly on the website and that there had been no mention of any supplementary charge. I also provided evidence of an earlier email exchange in which I had specifically asked about Saturday deliveries, and no extra fee was disclosed. After raising this with a manager, the charge was reduced to £18 — but with the event taking place the next day, I had little choice but to pay.

Ultimately, the price quoted was not the price charged. I received no apology and no gesture of goodwill, such as offering additional items, which might have helped remedy the situation. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be using Berkeley Catering Ltd again.

Poor management and customer service. I was asked to pay for platters, due to staff negligence.

Great food delivered on a Sunday morning for corporate meetings. Hot food stayed hot for hours and quality was amazing. Delivery driver was so pleasant and helpful. Very happy with service and quality.
