Health heart and happiness…
I love all the opportunities to explore different ways to get fit...swimming Gym and classes. I was a little bit disappointed at my gym orientation as it seemed a bit rushed and not very personalised or thought out. But apart from that all is good. I feel if I download the Gym app I will get better involved.

From time to time they check that we, the participants are ok. We have great fun exercising & keeping fit. I find many of the receptionists helpful.

This gym is a letdown. Poor cleanliness, broken lockers, neglected machines, and no staff supervision. Not up to standard of other better gyms.

the best ready to help The girls at the reception are unique!!! as well as the swimming teachers, but I think it's time to make some kind of reduction because in this crisis we want our children to learn to have fun, to play sports, but with these high fees, you're making us think a little bit. Should we continue to be with you to play sports? I think that for the children, the most important thing is for the fees to be lower, and there are some bonuses for the children.

App impossible to use to book classes
App impossible to use to book classes.
When she did start class was incorrect one.
Teacher told us to amend at reception reception said they couldn’t do it.
No idea what the next lesson will bring now.

It's an okay gym..
It's an okay gym... Unfortunately nothing special but it's good for quick workouts.
Equipment is old and some of it I'm a bit sceptical of, but it's not a bad gym

Perfect for me
Never had a gym membership before but this was at a great price with knowledgeable instructors. Had my gym induction on Monday and feel like this place is perfect for me.

2 year olds hair sucked into back of dryer
I visited Abbey Pool with my 2 year old daughter for the first time, she loved the swimming pool and I hope we can come back again. After we had changed I blow dried her hair followed by my own - it was at this point that she leant close towards me and her hair got sucked into the back of and stuck in the hairdryer effectively up to her scalp. I immediately noticed, thank god, and turned the hair dryer off.
Her hair was completely stuck in the back of the hairdryer and I actually thought for a minute that it was going to need to be cut off to get her free, fortunately because she is little and as her hair isn't that long yet I was able to pull it all out. When i had pulled out all of her hair from the dryer I noticed that the safety cap/mesh that is usually at the back of hairdryers was completely missing.
When I told the staff at the front desk Im not entirely convinced that it was understood how dangerous the situation could have been - if her hair had been longer or if I hadn't noticed as fast as I did. I spent my car drive home imagining how my daughters hair could've been ripped from her scalp and feeling incredibly shocked that this had happened at all - i wouldn't have thought i would need to check if a hairdryer was safe, this should've been a given.
Not really sure I want to return.

Good place, good teachers, I can recommend it! From my point of view the only thing I didn't like it was that some parents came with shoes from the changing room,it supposed is without shoes. But in general it was very good !

Excellent facilities
I have been doing pay as you go swimming for some time. I have recently joined as a member. It was easy to join and people at the call centre have been helpful.
The Abbey staff are friendly and welcoming. The facilities are adequate and generally clean.
I would suggest maybe a couple of more classes in the day time ( circuits and HIIT) but I appreciate this may not be able to be done. Thank you

I recently encountered some issues…
I recently encountered some issues while swimming at the pool. I was hit twice by another swimmer using puddles. I filed a complaint based on health and safety over a week ago but have yet to receive a response. To make matters worse, certain members of the management team responded in an aggressive and threatening manner instead of being helpful. I have written a formal letter to Mr Jason Parker who is the manager of the Centre but there is an automated message saying he is out of office. Yesterday I tried to reach him by phone but they said he had just left. In the meantime I received a letter by the deputy manager who is part of the incident saying that I have been prohibited from entering the Centre without giving any substantial reason and despite the fact that I continue to pay my monthly subscription and remain able to book visits online. This is totally unacceptable and I am particularly disappointed by the lack of responsiveness.
I would appreciate your urgent attention in addressing both the communication issues and the restrictions placed on my access to the Centre. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to resolve these matters promptly.
