The suna is fabulous
The suna is fabulous, its small and very hot. I was the only person in there for my session.
The pool is so clean and gently heated to take the edge off.
The changing rooms are very old school style but fine.

I've been a member of Better for many…
I've been a member of Better for many years, and untill recently it was a good experience, but it all changed when a 'new' music was introduced. This new, artificial music sounds like a poorly organised poor taste children's party, where all the songs sound pretty much the same, but more importantly, it makes workout less effective. I do a lot of body pump: the excercise is hard, and good REAL music is a great motivation. Moreover, the rithm and the beats of the bodypump music should be carefully selected to suit the excercise. In the past all instructors did excellent job in selecting the suitable music. However this is no longer the case, as all new music sounds alike and is not motivational or suitable. This make the job of the fitness instructors less creative and the overal standard of the workout poor. It is very hard to bear tge new musi for a hour, day after day! Please bring the real music back, otherwise I will be looking for a better fitness experience elsewhere.

We’re aware that there has been some concern and confusion about the changes to music licensing in our fitness classes from this Spring.
In late 2025 we became aware that the cost of our current music license that covers all our 250 leisure centres and gyms across the UK would increase significantly. As a charitable social enterprise focused on community benefit, we carefully reviewed our options to ensure we continue to invest our resources responsibly and sustainably.
Following this review, we asked our fitness instructors to transition to PPL pre-cleared, royalty-free music. This approach allows us to manage rising costs while continuing to deliver the high-quality classes you expect.
In practical terms, all instructors are being provided with free access to Power Music; one of the most widely used fitness music platforms. Power Music enables instructors to create their own playlists using professionally recorded studio tracks (not AI-generated), giving them flexibility while ensuring full compliance with licensing requirements.
We hope this provides reassurance and clarity about why we have made this decision, the care we have taken to engage with and support our instructors and our commitment to maintaining your class experience. As we implement these changes we will continue to monitor feedback and engage with staff and customers.

Best spin session ever ruined by fake music
Today I attended the best spin class of my life. Annie was incredible. She had a wicked selection of tunes. Where else could you spin to Bohemian Rhapsody and I Want to Rise my Bicycle..? She really used the music to dictate the whole class. We sprinted on the fast sections, we should up and hill
climbed on the slower sections. It was fantastic to cycle and hear the unique voice of Freddie. Now I learn there will be no more spin sessions because of some fake music app..? Please reinstate our music for our classes

A lovely pool ( I have a swimming membership), sometimes the receptionist can be slightly inattentive or slightly abrupt, however no other complaints, changing room as you would expect, big shower cubicles even if only a few of them. The pool is lovely, 50 meters.
