Poor safety and lack of awareness
This past Friday (28/08/2026) was my son’s first day of academic swimming lessons, which started at 6:00 PM. I saw a boy pushing other children into the pool multiple times, but the coach only noticed it once. The boy was very disruptive—he didn’t listen to the coach or follow instructions, and instead just kept doing his own thing. The coach was often looking elsewhere and talking to other people, rather than watching the children individually. This is a serious safety concern. Even the safety officers didn’t seem to notice anything. I believe this can be clearly seen if you review the CCTV footage.

Location great but your prices is way to expensive considering you don't any new equipment you bring in second hand stuff that breaks and takes weeks to fix no sauna which would be nice to have and lower membership atm prices are to high for joke gym

Sean, the i structor was very patient and answered all my queries on the assessment process. The staff on the front desk assissted me with the app, qr code reading and how to book sessions. They were very patient with me. They are a credit to the venue.

I used to go to the Abraham Center, new building; the gym there has more options for gym equipment and quantity.
In the centre of East Manchester, the gym is small and doesn't have many gym equipment.
For the price, I think it's expensive, especially if you're going to use only the gym.
To enter into the build as a members, on my opinion it is no safe. As there is no gate, you just need to scan at reception and walk in.

Inability of system ro set up account successfully Registration of account
Registration of account and making payment to 2 weeks after spending more than 3 hours at East Manchester Leisure Centre on 4 different occasions trying and trying with no avail! My experience was so bad that remembering it gives me PTSD. The manager was so clueless, lack customer service skill and vindictive, blaming me for their poorly set up IT system!

It's a good gym but ...
It's a good gym. Staff are lovely but the only issue is the equipment are old and broken down and there isn't enough stations. Especially benches. I spend most my time waiting for a turn then my actual sets.
