The staff are brilliant. The equipment is a bit tired. I don’t like that people sit on equipment scrolling on their mobile phones while others are waiting to use it.

One of the staff members is just completely rude for no reason as I go here with my little brother who is 15 and we got there 5 minutes late and he sent us away.He also told us he can’t use the big weights because he’s 15 which is fine if that’s the rules but we see him talking to a bunch of under 16s in the same room we was not to go into.

I really love the gym
The workers are very nice and the machines are amazing and exactly what I wanted, with everything there
However, I have noticed a little of the machines are not working, though it didn't acctually affect me too much, as there were plenty others of them to use.
Amazing with lockers, toilets and great equipment
Decent price and would recommend

I been with better gym for 12 years at bexleyheath and is nothing is change in this gym apart every year they put prices up
All I can say is that staff is really very helpful nice and much more
But gym it self is out of date, machines and all the gym equipment too old and it needed to be changed long ago

I walked into the gym as a disabled person and there was nobody to talk to. Just metal bars like walking into a prison. There were loads of flys which was particularly unsettling but I put that down to it being a hot day (I hoped). I rang the bell and it took 10-15mins before someone turned up. I almost left. The member of staff said sorry they were on their own and taking a class. That again unsettled me. If there was an incident and the one member of staff was taking a class, who would help me!? The staff member was nice enough and I told them I was thinking of joining the gym, expecting to be given a quick tour, no tour was given. Instead I was told to just sign up online. This was disheartening. How could I join a gym I had never seen? Anyway the price was reasonable and the classes online seemed good so I joined anyway. I told the staff member I was disabled and asked if I’d need an induction. I was told not unless I wanted one. Again unsettling. How can you let a disabled person start a new gym without showing them health and safety or how to use any of the equipment safely!? I entered the prison like bars once my code came through and the gym itself seems very segregated. The men to one side where the weights were and the women and older generation to the other side where the machines were. I felt uncomfortable about this as I wanted to use weights but didn’t want to enter what seemed like the ‘boys club’. I think an open plan space where weights and machines are mixed would make it more inviting for all sexes and ages.
The lockers are 20p each time which seems ok but who carries coins anymore and if you’re going to the gym daily it all starts to add up. Then there is a charge for missing a booked class, even if you cancel your place online via the app, hours in advance! Pay for parking too, unless you’re disabled, which is fine for me but not my husband. It all starts to add up. I never went back after that first day. Requested a refund of monies paid via emailing head office. At first they were resistant and wanted me to pay for the first month and then it be cancelled but I was adamant I wasn’t going back and deserved a full refund as I had been signed up for less than 7 days. They eventually gave me a refund. It’s a shame because I’ve heard great things about better gyms but they must not have been talking about the Bexleyheath branch!
