Top marks! I booked my kids in and decided last minute to join them. Despite there being no availability on the system, the boat had room (luckily) and the team was flexible enough to get me involved. Thanks to Tye for getting me included, Theo for a super fun event and the reception staff for their help too. The kids had the best time ever. This is now my number one choice for a sunny day with the family.

We had a great time at Lee Valley as a family of adults doing a white water rafting experience day. I have to say it’s not for the faint hearted, you need to be reasonably fit and able and be happy being chucked off the boat into tumbling water. Though there is plenty of help on hand if needed. Tim was a great instructor and all the staff had a lot of character which really added to the fun of the experience. Thanks for a great day!

Superb facilities on London's doorstep. Lee Valley Whitewater Centre provides " fancy holiday" activities at reasonable prices. Friendly, knowledgeable staff as well.

Lee Valley White Water Centre As per other reviews I've seen, I should have got free parking having entered my details on system. Thought all was good but over a month later I've got a letter from a Debt Recovery company billing me £170. Upsetting and disappointing given I followed the process. Didn't get any earlier letters they purport I should have got. Has ruined what was an otherwise good experience. DO NOT ASSUME YOUR FREE PARKING HAS BEEN ACTIVATED CORRECTLY IN THE SYSTEM UNLESS YOU GET A CONFIRMATION CODE. I'm still trying to figure out how to resolve this
UPDATE: To answer your response, no that doesn't help:
1) The Gemini online appeal process doesn't work - the system won't accept my code because they've already passed to debt recovery despite never having made contact with me
2) As I've suggested, you need to add more detail into your activity booking confirmations to let people know that if they don't get a confirmation code/receipt then go back & try again. There's no point telling me now that the validations process didn't complete - there was no sign on completion that suggested it hadn't worked. & what possible motive would I have for not finishing the validation process when completing it meant that my parking was free of charge?
3) I have emailed info@ just now on back of your response & I got an auto-reply telling me to go into the online system that I've told you in (1) above & in numerous emails that it will not accept my PCN number because they've already passed it on to Debt Recovery. I'm stuck in a vicious circle & as no-one is prepared to help me navigate this, I've just decided to let it go to court if necessary as I've got enough evidence to show how/why this is all wrong
4) You can keep blaming Gemini but you have subcontracted parking to Gemini & you need to take some responsibility for the system that I can see through other online reviews is causing issues for others too. My post is simply to suggest and advise people to NOT ASSUME YOUR FREE PARKING HAS BEEN ACTIVATED CORRECTLY IN THE SYSTEM UNLESS YOU GET A CONFIRMATION CODE/RECEIPT because this has ruined an otherwise good experience. The Water WipeOut itself was great & I can recommend that. Just go on foot to the venue perhaps?

Just the same issue as noted below re.parking; this was a blue badge (clearly on display), we spent nearly £40 in the Cafe. I’ve already appealed this to Gemini parking and have received a request for further info (no mention of blue badge), it seems by post as there is no email address.
No call from Centre Manager/a member of his staff yesterday as advised in writing by Better.
I’ll have to waste more time dealing with this but in future no more visits here for sure.
Just had a reply from Better/GLL which only goes to prove the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing,or in this case has done already!

Went to the White Water Rafting Center today to do a paddle board session with my wife.
She didn't bring a shirt that covered her shoulders, and apparently that is required for paddle boarding for, you guessed it, health and safety reasons. We were told it was safe guarding issue, since the instructors couldn't touch her bare shoulder. THEY WERE SERIOUS! What has England become, get a grip. There wasn't even any reason to touch her at all.... and if he wanted to we were fine with it.
The fun police strike again at Better. The is no reasoning with anyone at the center. you can't accept personal risk. May as well live in communist China the way Better centrally controls everything.
The staff are just policy robotic police with no discretion. What a joke.
Don't bother replying with your boiler plate robotic reply's that try to make yourselves sounds reasonable and that we are being unreasonable. This was most absurd health and safety rule every.

My wife went along to the centre for a rafting course and was told parking was included as she was a customer. She put in her car details to the machine only to then get a parking penalty. We contacted the centre to ask what’s going on to be told it’s not their problem and that they wouldn’t do anything about it and to contact the parking company. Judging by trip advisor reviews this seems to be a common occurrence.
Update: the response below just shows they don’t even read the reviews. We spoke to the centre and were told “it’s not their problem”. Classic copy and paste corporate answer.
