You need a better system for popular classes
I have only recently joined better but I don't like the waiting list arrangement I joined a waiting list for a class but instead of getting a place if you get to the front of the waiting list you get an email and along with everyone else on the waiting list have to try get a place when it becomes available. So someone who joined the waiting list an hour ago could get a place before me even though I joined the waiting list 3 days ago....doesn't make sense to me.

Our waiting list does not put customers in order of when they joined the waitlist. All customers on the waiting list will receive the same email when a space becomes available and this is because we know that some customers priorities may change during the course of day and they may not wish to attend the class again. This is why the customers are required to add themselves to the activity if they still wish to attend once a space becomes available.
We appreciate this system does not suite all customers and I will pass on your feedback for the App Developers so they can consider your comments.

Monday 18th December 2023 we booked a no string badminton session at rainbow centre,Epsom.The most outrageous incident happened the no string coordinator didn't turn up and didn't asked 'any staff' to run it instead he just asked a random guy to run the session.This random guy already running a club within rainbow centre for past two years and doing a commercial club in a community centre , misusing the booking system and numerous people have made a formal complain about him and people signed even a petition about him and how can this man was asked to run no string club.He is not trained as per Badminton England guidelines ,whether he is insured to run a session nobody knows ,he is just as any other member ,Don't know DBS checks have been done . He had all 'his people' playing in a no string club , the reception staff had no idea about this when he asked this man ,simply replied that he received a 'text message' from the coordinator asking him to run the session.Its like giving a vault's key to a thief. Nobody was checking this atrocious ,rude behaviour. He even touched the shoulder and pushed away another member saying if you don't have booking you can't play.Who gave this man the authority to run this club who is not even a staff at rainbow centre or GLL.This is a major safeguarding issue.This is a gross misconduct of the rainbow centre staff and gross negligence on safety issue asking a member of public to run a no string club.The staff member failed in his responsibility .If he is unable to come to run the session he should have asked a member of a staff to run or cancel instead of asking random member of a public .There are women,young girls were present and what checks have been done on this man before asking him to run a session,if that's the case even if someone with criminal record could end up coordinating a No String session .I need answers as per freedom of information Act 2000 what action will be taken against this member of public and staff.Charmaine,thank you for your reply but i didn't get any attachment as per your reply.Is Rainbow centre the only organisation where if you are unable to go to work for any reason you can nominate one of your friends to carry out your duties on your behalf?

Joining online is easy enough … but
Joining is easy enough online. However any attempts at reaching the site by phone is impossible. The site offer lockers that use £1 coins but they are cashless so renders lockers useless. Receptionist was rude and unhelpful. The locker and toilet facilities are dirty. The fast lane in the pool is filled with older slow swimmers and the lifeguard just sits there doing nothing to sort out the situation. When cancelling my membership two days after joining not a single staff member asked me why and I dealt with two different people. Service is clearly not a focus point of this organisation.

Our centres do not have a contact number but we do have a central contact number which will put you through to our experienced Customer Service Department where an agent can assist you with your query. We are very sorry to hear that some areas of the centre were not to a high standard so I will pass this feedback onto the centre so these areas can be looked into and resolved.
