Stanborough lake - A lovely lake with amazing staff
The lake gets the sun for most of the day, which makes it a lovely setting for water sports and swimming. There are many different birds to spot, including herons and egrets.
The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The facilities are good with indoor changing rooms with hot showers and a heated floor - great after a cold swim!
There is lots of parking (free when you are using the centre - don’t use the machines to buy a ticket, record your numberplate when you register for your activity).
It’s a great place to begin a new activity as the staff are experienced and keen to help and before long you’ll want to come regularly.
