I have reviewed the local centre on their website and to be honest, there is little more I can add to that - I have had an extremely positive experience with the staff I have encountered - all have been very kind, understanding and welcoming.
The facilities are dated but very useable and given the amount of people who use the centre, there will be wear and tear but nothing that would put me off using it.
I am hoping to try some of the other activities over the next few weeks but I hear they are very popular so I will be getting set up to be ready to book as soon as the slots are released! This is a good sign as shows they are popular and others would only fight for the spaces if they enjoyed them.

First impression of gym
Gym is good, training equipment is of high quality.
It would be nice if long foam roll and long floor mats could be renewed as they look pretty old, tear and wear condition.

Joined recently - great experience
Joined recently. Booked fitness classes easily through app. Used the self-service check-in which was really easy. I didn't hold my phone close enough to the QR code and the lovely receptionist helped me - she was very kind despite my idiocy. Classes were fab and exactly what I was looking for.

Sadly the food options at the cafe are not very healthy, the majority is processed. It would be wonderful to have more simple whole foods on the menu for all age groups. Thank you. Cafe staff are always lovely though.

Poor Hygiene
I have now complained about the state of cleanliness again.
I use only the pool and the steam room. The steam room is dirty and the drains are not cleaned out sufficiently.
This complaint has already been formerly checked by the Vale of White Horse. They seemed to think that the place is satisfactory.
I have since been told the gentlemans' toilets in the gym are dirty. The floor of the changing area today smelt of urine. There is no indication when these areas are cleaned.
One comment from a staff member said "the steam room is cleaned on a Monday!" Today was Monday and there was no evidence of this.

Clean, spacious and friendly
The staff were so very helpful and friendly. Very professional from the moment I walked in to when I left the car park. I asked for a tour (no booking) I was shown around and told about what is on offer. The whole centre feels spacious and is very clean and bright. I had a coffee and a croissant at the cafe which was, again, lovely. I cannot fault it. The customers were very friendly in the gym too, considerate of others. The staff were honestly so lovely, so approachable and ready to help. Would recommend to anyone!

Like the price and new equipment in the…
Like the price and new equipment in the gym.
Dislike, that it keeps saying I need to pay to book myself in. Then regularly can’t even get in as fully booked. So getting disappointed.
The pool showers are poor, dirty have black mould on tiles.
Looking forward to not having booking in problems.

The White Horse Leisure Centre is fantastic for families
The White Horse Leisure Centre has improved so much over the last 8 years, after receiving funding. The staff and facilities are fantastic and I decided to take up a membership again.

Great swim session times, but…
Long opening times, great range of different swimming sessions. Reception area recently refurbished but lots of other areas are tired, run down and dirty, e.g. outdoor tennis courts are covered in moss, swimming pool toilets are often disgustingly dirty, mucky swim change area floor because people walk in wearing outdoor shoes, etc. Members were surveyed a few months ago but no apparent publication of the results or a resultant action plan.
