The reason one of our account managers contacted you shortly after the initial conversation was simply to carry out a quality control review. This is a standard part of our process to ensure all details have been understood correctly, the offer has been accurately explained, and there have been no misunderstandings before anybody proceeds further.
Where any concerns or discrepancies arise, we would always rather address them immediately at the outset than later down the line after solicitors have been instructed and everybody has invested significant time and money into the process.
As you mentioned yourself, this follow-up conversation took place within around five minutes of the original discussion, so no lengthy commitment or ongoing process had taken place before the matter was clarified.
We appreciate that not every offer or outcome will suit every homeowner, but we do believe transparent conversations upfront are far better than discovering issues much later in the transaction.
Poor communication
My rental property is currently for sale with them. There has been confusion over a viewing which in the end hasn’t happened and I cannot get anyone to respond to my emails to find out what’s happening. I’m hoping this might give them a nudge in contacting me.
BETTERMOVE have just made contact with me so we will see what happens.
