Poor build quality of Beyerdynamic T51p
I have a pair of Beyerdynamic T51p headphones. I take really, really good care of them (I also have a pair of Sony headphones that are going strong after more than 20 years of extensive use) and I am sorry to report that the pads disintegrate too quickly, the headband has come apart, and I have had to get two replacement cables in under 5 years. For the cost of the product, the build quality is awful. They sound nice, but I've spent more on repairing these as it would have cost to buy a new pair, and that's not to be sniffed at. Disappointed.

Not interested in solving issues with poor quality pads
I bought a Custom One Pro from a local store. The cushions on the ears and headband were initially just fine, but disintegrated at around the 9 months mark. I had them replaced, and the experience repeated itself.
Eventually, I wrote to Beyer and asked if they had a better solution or could ship a new set of pads as they were no longer (easily at least) available here, and just got a short message where I was told to find a national reseller. Thumbs down for neither solving the problem or even reading my mail.
Beyer Dynamics products are not cheap, and I'm disappointed in the lack of interest in product longevity.
