My first impression is that new egg cover does the job, not sure why they had to change colour from the original green to black. Will they be selling be selling Black Eggs in the future?

The cover itself is very good. The velcro straps could/should be wider and longer as the cover also is used for the XL egg

I bought the cover to replace an existing weather worn cover. This is black, not green, and is not as substantial as the one it replaced. Time will tell how effective it is.
