The salesman Peter was polite, friendly and helpful
The salesman Peter was polite and friendly he helped us through the process and listened to my expectations and helped me to achieve what I wanted and also managed to help me see the advantages of the additional services offered of which I purchased I drove away with the car I was interested in the only thing that I think would improve my experience is if the final stages were quicker to complete but altogether the staff were very helpful well done

Excellent from start to finish
My experience at Big Motoring World Blue Bell Hill was excellent from start to finish.
Lucas, the Sales Executive, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer all my questions about the Tesla Model Y and made everything clear and straightforward. I never felt pressured at any point, and his approach made the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
Jasmine, who handled the finance side, was also fantastic. She explained everything clearly, made the process simple to understand, and ensured all the paperwork and details were handled smoothly. Her professionalism and efficiency made the finance part of the purchase stress-free.
Mairi, the Handover Advisor, was equally excellent. She walked me through the vehicle features carefully and made sure I felt comfortable with everything before leaving. The handover process was smooth, well organized, and very welcoming.
Overall, the service I received was outstanding. Lucas, Jasmine, and Mairi were all attentive, helpful, and genuinely committed to making the experience a positive one. I would definitely recommend Big Motoring World Blue Bell Hill to anyone looking for a car.
Thank you again for such a great experience!

No promised refund
On Tuesday 17th February, I paid £139 to have a vehicle transferred from Cannock to the Bluebell Hill branch. When we arrived to view the car, hoping to purchase it, we were shocked by the condition it was in. The vehicle had severe scratches to the front, mould all over the seats, missing seatbelt parts, and multiple deep scratches across the bodywork.
We spoke with the branch management as we were very unhappy that no one had informed us about the vehicle’s condition before we paid for the transfer and travelled several hours to view it. The manager agreed that the situation wasn’t acceptable and confirmed that the £139 transfer fee would be refunded.
However, the refund was not processed straight away. After chasing this up, I was told on Monday 23rd February that the refund had been processed and could take up to five working days to appear. The refund never arrived. After multiple calls and emails, I was then told it would now take another couple of weeks, which is completely unacceptable.
I have emailed and called many times and feel that I have repeatedly been fobbed off. The refund should have been processed promptly, especially given the circumstances.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I did actually purchase a vehicle from Big Motoring World at the Bluebell Hill branch, yet I am still waiting for this refund.
Based on this experience, I would not purchase another vehicle through them. The customer service has been extremely disappointing.

Cheaper car but poor customer service
Didn’t complete paint correction works prior to delivery, didn’t wash the car, didn’t clean interior, didn’t care. More concerned with pushing me to make payment. When raised complaint afterwards, providing photographs as evidence, told me to raise complaint with Ombudsman rather than spend a few hundred to resolve the matter of delivering what they promise on their website. If you want a car and expect poor customer service once you sign the sale agreement, this is the place to go.

Written admission of defect at sale — then told tough luck
I purchased a used Tesla Model Y from Big Motoring World (Blue Bell Hill). Within two weeks, a professional windscreen repair technician attended the vehicle and was unable to complete a repair. The reason: the windscreen had already been subject to a previous repair prior to my purchase, described by the technician as poor and substandard workmanship, rendering it beyond repair and requiring full replacement. This defect was not disclosed at point of sale.
I raised this formally. Big Motoring World issued two separate written responses — from two different members of staff (Charlotte, 5 March 2026, and Ryan, 10 March 2026). Both responses stated that Big Motoring World 'considers these issues to have been present at the time of purchase.' That is, in plain English, a written admission that the vehicle was sold with a pre-existing defect.
Both responses then relied on 'sold as seen' and 'as seen' language as a legal defence. Trading Standards confirms this language is unlawful in consumer sales and constitutes a misleading commercial practice under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. It appeared in two formal responses, from two different people. This is not an isolated mistake — it appears to be company policy.
One response also categorised the windscreen — a structural safety component subject to MOT requirements — as a 'cosmetic' issue.
At no point did Big Motoring World offer to inspect the vehicle before reaching any of these conclusions.
Under Section 24(4) of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, where a defect appears within six months of purchase, the burden of proof lies with the trader to disprove it was present at sale. Big Motoring World produced no evidence, no inspection, and no independent assessment — whilst simultaneously admitting in writing that the defect existed at the time of purchase.
A formal Letter Before Claim has now been submitted. Northridge Finance have been formally notified under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Referrals to Trading Standards, the Competition and Markets Authority, the Motor Ombudsman, and the Financial Conduct Authority are being made simultaneously.
I would encourage anyone purchasing from Big Motoring World to read the Consumer Rights Act 2015 carefully before signing any documentation.

So far okay!!
Buying used cars is a stab in the dark, I've had good experiences with small-scale and large-scale dealers, and vice versa, but I've not tried the huge car supermarkets before, now, Big Motoring World being one of them, and one with some interesting reviews online, interesting being the operative world.
However reviews for their Blue Bell Hill branch in Kent seemed above average across all platforms so I was ready to take the plunge.
The booking process and the courtesy call was smooth and I was alerted to what a busy day it would be on the Saturday, so when I arrived and had to wait a while, I was at least expecting it.
The initial processes including test drive with Alex were smooth and I felt I had the opportunity to ask the questions, and the information I received was adequate.
The only thing I'd change is the selling of warranties and protections that Alex and his colleagues appear to be incentivised to push. Any internet research will show that these extended warranties have very bad reputations - particularly regarding refused claims, communication and wait times. I'd much rather I didn't have to humour the sales pitch and then have to almost-argue with someone keen to get likely commision, his disappointment was palpable. It's just a flawed business model and whilst I alone won't change it I will say to anyone that's listening that car selling should be purely based around the vehicles and it's off-putting to try and push add-ons.
It was quite difficult to pay, but that was more due to the Co-op's usual gremlins. Miesha's patience was really appreciated, especially on a busy day.
That aside, I have not yet had any issues with the car, a BMW iX3, so I'm happy to report a positive experience. The pricing was quite fair too.
The multiple coffees and chilled water were a nice bonus.

Check the spec
Visited Chatham branch after confirming before appointment that car had rear view camera (as advertised on the headline page but apparently missing on the detailed spec). Spent 1/2 hr looking over car, asked if it ticked all the boxes, only to find that it didn’t have a rear view camera. Waste of time and petrol!

Intimidated at Big Motoring World
I visited Bluebell Hill garage on 6th March 2026 with a view to part exchanging my Jaguar I Pace registration OY70 PJU for an Audi e'tron.
Prior to my visit I got a trade in value of between £13500 and £15000 fom the Big Motoring World website
I was seen by a salesperson and eventually we looked at an Audi e-tron after a road test the salesperson convinced to look at some figures with a view to purchase and I showed him the valuation.
I also told him that I would not need extended warranty as I am currently having a bad experience with this on my existing vehicle and it is currently subject to a complaint.
When the figures were completed I was only offered £10000 part exchange which I felt was an insult especially as I paid £17700 to purchase this last May from this garage.
He then got a manager to speak to me, he was very condescending and tried to tell me that the valuation was only a guide and the trade in is only based on market value. At this point my wife and I felt extremely upset and said that we had either been missold the car or the valuation tool is clearly unfit for purpose especially as the car has apparently lost £7700 in 10 months which i believe to be excessive and i should have been informed about how quickly they depreciate at point of sale.
This came after the salesperson had told us that Jaguars have a lot of problems which he always points out to potential customers but this didn't happen to us last year.
At this point our discussion became quite heated and my wife and I started to feel intimidated especially as both the manager and the salesperson also appeared to be getting quite irate to the point that the salesperson called my wife a liar. We decided that this was the time to leave, however as soon as I got up to the leave the manager asked if we would like to use the washrooms which I found a bit strange and intimidated as I did not know why he would ask this.
As we were leaving we could see the manager laughing along with other colleagues over what has happened so I challenged him and he then came out of the office and began to walk towards us in a quite intimidating way. At this point we left feeling very upset and worried.
When I got home I had also received a marketing email mail from this company which showed a Jaguar I Pace which was older than mine and with higher mileage advertised for £15500 which just added insult to injury.
My advice is steer clear of this company, they use very high pressure selling techniques, their extended warranty is a rip off as it only covers up to £100 labour charge and wherever possible they try to avoid paying out and their staff clearly have no respect for their customers

Disgusting at bluebell hill would never… go back to big motoring world
Disgusting at bluebell hill would never go back ..went to look at a new car .was going to put my car in part exchange when said I had a jag he said he would not of sold it they have problems .looked at Audi. I asked for test drive answer only test drive normally if buying .after test drive I said will go away and think about it .he said would do figures before I went .sat down got the price of car .asked what part exchange would be.they took the keys for price .come back with 10.000 we would loose 8 000 in less then a yr .we wasn’t happy has said lowest would be 13.500 minimum we pd 17.700 from then low milage 14400 miles .sales person got manager .he sat down with sales person .they talked normal to begin with .until my husband asked how it was a low price on the jag he said it was down to them what offered would go to auction .he's attitude changed and the sales man also got involved 2 on 1 to my husband he got condescending .my husband asked for jag keys to go .it still went on with manager .who has no people skills .has a manager should have then the sales man said something .with this I said you told me you would not of sold it .he went quiet.i said r you saying im a liar .again he sat there again i said u you calling me a liar .i raised my voice .r you calling me a liar again silence he said shouting again i said r you calling me a liar .answer no .we got our keys and was leaving .manager said do you want rest room why ? We got up and was walking out my husband said they r laughing i turned around and said do you think it’s funny .the manager sells man laughed even in office .he come down where we was intimidating .he stopped and stared we carried on walking laughter got louder .again I turned around do you think it’s funny .manager done same again it was like being bullied but by grown men .i had a panic attack out side .he knew I was on a stick and trouble walking .is this how they treat disabled people to go in a retail to be laughed at not just by a manager but as well has his staff that’s no manager., we r over 60 yrs old.we don’t need that .
I thought I better add this .
We took out the extended warranty Wasn’t cheap .we had a problem with a warning light inside car .we rang big motoring world .being electric .we had to take it to the garage where they said it had to go .this was a jaguar garage .which we done on the 2nd march they gave us a car for one day .we had a phone call the battery needed to be replaced ,and we would need to get permission from motor world .jaguar contacted big assist .they never responded to the garage and I don’t believe still have. . . We had no choice but to pay ourselves if not I would have no car.which is needed for health reasons we complained but they said I had to pay ..they would of left my car in the garage this was a total waste of of money and mis sold. To be as I believe mis sold and then get this after care.and being left.with no response .as we had to chase them and knowing health reasons needed it .i hope no one else goes though what we have I would never recommend or go there again .. once you have been treated like this .you should double check paper work .i feel they don’t care about customers .when you hand over payment that is it again my car would still be in a garage if we did not pay our selfs and we paid thousands for insurance .i feel not worth the paper written on. It’s like throwing money away .its all done. By messages not one person range us .i.think now i will ask my husband to go down legal route as i believe mis sold .when it was under the other owner it was not like this .when you have this experience you dont go back .and i will tell my freinds family so they dont go though what we have motoring world if you reply to this dont mention your after team .not one phone call . Im upset the way been treated and again would not recommend motoring world

Don’t border
Visit three showroom (Enfield Camberley Chatham) to find our next car. The sales person don’t care you and force you to choose a car in 10mins.
The part exchange price is a joke.
