We did, it was given a tick box check and given back. No one was interested in the noise from the engine it had developed. Never checked by a mechanic. Rubbish service don’t buy from here please, just google them all the evidence is there. Same company renamed over the years a real rogue trader.

Amazing staff friendly and informative as we were moving from petrol to fully electric and had very small knowledge about what changes we had to make and what had to be considered to suit our family needs. We now wouldn’t go anywhere else or to anyone else to buy a car. Pete who helped us was that helpful, and proved that car sales aren’t just about making money, he helped us find a car that suited us and was affordable,
we even went back for our second car the week after as we were so happy with the sale. Highly recommended

Bought a car from the Sheffield Branch, I had it less than a week and it broke down. It's now been 1 week since refusing the car and I am still yet to have anyone contact me regarding this. I have called several times and emailed twice. Avoid!
EDIT I have been called by a rude man telling me it’s my job to get the car back to them. His exact words were ‘it’s your car so it’s your responsibility’ this is actually incorrect according to the consumer rights act. He said if it isn’t drivable then I need to arrange RAC to drop it off. He also tried to threaten me by saying I need to get it to them ASAP to avoid any extra mileage expenses or damage charges. It looks like this will end in the small claims court as I will not back down on this and I know my rights.

Took too long. 2.5 hrs buying the car and 1 hr when I picked it up.
Also, the worst valet on any car I've ever bought. Big black smudge on inside of b pillar that I cant remove which wasn't there on the test drive, a manky old sweet in back of drivers seat pocket and every door pocket had some sort of spilled drink residue inside. Only leaving me with 20 miles range on the battery is also outrageous. Luckily i live close so made it home but if I'd had to charge for journey the nearest public charger is 87p kw. All the staff were great though and made me feel really welcome.

Unbelievably slow service when just wanting to buy a car in cash.
Car was dirty and not prepared in advance of me coming despite reserving it adding to our wait.
Staff were nice.
Policy of needing to test drive was bizarre.

Poor overall experience. In branch valuation of part exchange vehicle significantly different to online estimate. Reasons given were unjustifiied and unsubstantiated. Complete waste of 2 hours.
I think all customers need to be aware of the above before visiting Big Motoring World. I was essentially offered 20% lower than the ‘minimum’ value of the online estimate provided by Big Motoring less than 24 hrs before my visit. Note I obtained two alternative quotes from other dealerships where they valued the car in person at a much higher value so I was informed as to a reasonable value for my vehicle. This kind of behaviour from Big Motoring World really underminds customer trust.

Bought a Renault Zoe in November from the Sheffield branch.
When we test drove the car, a warning for a puncture came up on the screen, so we could only do a short drive around for safety reasons. The salesman said he'd put the car in to be fixed before we picked it up. Fast forward a few days and it was ready to collect. Nothing wrong at first and tyre pressure lights had gone off, until a few days later when all my tyres were low. Had to pump them up daily while I waited for my booking at Halfords for a free tyre check. They told me my pressure valves were actually corroded and needed to be replaced but should still be covered by my warranty. So I put in a request specifically for a replacement and get booked in the next week, they reseal my valves (again) and don't replace them.
A week after I collected the car, the pressure light came on again, so I put in another request in the app for a valve replacement. A day later, I went to open the boot and the button fell out, couldn't get it back in myself so I put this as a request in the app also. Car is in a week or so later for these repairs on a Monday. I don't hear anything from them about my car being ready so I ring up on the Wednesday for an update. The person on the phone told me one of the repairs was done but they were still waiting on my valves to arrive so they'd rebooked me for a repair for the following week. I don't hear back again until the Friday after that the car is ready. My husband went to pick the car up and the boot button hasn't been replaced at all. They had my car almost 2 weeks and didn't actually complete the repairs I needed. I called up the next day and they apparently had no idea about this request, to which I sent the screenshot of the app in a follow up email. My warranty is technically up by this point but as I put it in before, they allowed me to bring it back to get the issue sorted.
Today, I go to pick up my car and it took 10 minutes for them to find my key... Absolute shambles of an experience. And as they'd technically booked me in for diagnostics and not a direct repair each time, I didn't qualify for the courtesy car that I was apparently allowed, so it's cost me about £250 in taxi fees backwards and forwards for the various journeys. The price for the car was really good, and I do love it, hence the two stars, but my first ever car buying experience was really dampened by the fact I had to keep going back for what should've been two easy and quick problems to solve. Not sure I'd buy from them again.

I strongly advise everyone to be very careful when dealing with Big Motoring World.
In my experience, they use misleading and questionable practices when selling cars. Communication is extremely poor — no matter how many times you call, they just refer to a so-called “ticket system” and never follow up.
This has been frustrating and disappointing, especially when you expect proper customer service after such a big purchase.
Please be cautious when buying a car, and think twice before purchasing any warranty from them.
Sharing this so others don’t go through the same experience.

03/04 Purchased a 2022 Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor (OE72HFJ) from the Sheffield branch. From start to finish the experience was one of the worst I have had buying a car.
The car was advertised with one remote key fob and one waterproof activity key tag. The salesman verbally confirmed this would be present at collection. When I called ahead of collection day I was told the activity tag was nowhere to be found. Without it I cannot set up the Polestar app, register the car to my account or use phone as a key. Core functionality of the car, not a minor accessory. I was told the day of collection that when polestar was open after bank holiday they would get a cost from them to get a new fob sorted and recoded on the car to which I was essentially told depending on cost they might not do it. Bear In mind this is their mistake not mine it shouldn’t be a maybe it should be a MUST to rectify the problem. They did confirm today Tuesday the 7th they would pay for the key however I would have to collect the car and take it myself to polestar for the work to be done and then they would reimburse me. NOT HAPPENING as I’m not sure I would even get payment from them considering how dodgy the process has been so far.
After researching online I found this is not an isolated incident. Multiple other buyers have reported purchasing Polestar 2s from Big Motoring World with the activity tag missing. The concern is that many buyers will not realise the impact until they try to set up the app and find they cannot proceed without all keys present. By that point they have already driven away and their leverage is significantly reduced.
During the test drive I specifically asked to test the foot sensor on the boot to verify the option packs the car was supposed to have. As I waved my foot under the tailgate I noticed the salesman covertly pressing the boot button on the key fob, opening the boot himself to give the impression the foot sensor had activated. Had I not noticed and asked to hold the key myself to retest it I would have left believing the feature was present without it ever being properly demonstrated. When I then asked about the option packs fitted to the car he had no knowledge and presented a Gemini AI printout from a Google search as the answer. On a £21,000 purchase that is simply not acceptable.
The staining on the centre console and door card was flagged on the Friday and I was told it would be sorted before Monday collection. Collection was specifically moved from Friday to Monday for this reason. By 3pm on Tuesday the day after my collection day (due to collection being moved as key issues) nobody had even checked it. I had to call to find that out. Worth noting that the staining is still visible in the listing photos if you look closely enough, so anyone considering this car should examine the interior carefully before accepting it.
The part exchange negotiation was handled in a way I found misleading. When I pushed back on the initial valuation and got it increased by £750, rather than applying that improvement to reduce the finance balance the difference was absorbed into the warranty cost. I gained no actual financial benefit despite apparently winning the negotiation, and ended up paying more in interest as a result.
When I eventually cancelled after days of stress and no proactive communication, they seemed completely unbothered. Within hours of my cancellation the car was relisted on their website, still advertising the activity key tag as included and with the staining still visible in the photos, ready to mislead the next buyer. That tells you everything you need to know.
Avoid.
EDIT 09/04 - Since writing this I have had no response to my complaint via email and also have had no reply here despite replying to others here (only positive reviews ofc with a generic AI bot reply which show they’re probably doing nothing), I have also noticed they don’t reply to any really under 2 stars. I’m still waiting on my £500 deposit back and an actual apology for complete lack of care and stress caused by the whole situation.
EDIT 14/04 - as I can’t reply to their reply it’s here instead completely ignored all parts of my message.
1. I was told both keys present, not an assumption on my part. Also you state non essential when all keys needed for factory reset or phone integration key parts of an electric car.
2. No acknowledgment of the dodgy sales tactics used by salesman such as way finance was done and trying to trick me. (Jibran)
3. No one contacted me I contacted them as no one seemed to care so I had to do it of my own volition
4. You’re just trying to look good with your bot replies. And also if you cared enough you’d reply to all points and also spell check it.
I have finally had an apology from the Kent office (separate office) however still some human interaction better than this slop.
