Had a bad experience with Billboards U.K.. they didn’t provide key kitchen, bath and household items. No microwave, kettle, plate holders, toaster, bath mat, mirrors and vacuum cleaner. Only items provided were bed, mattress and broken wardrobe. It was all bought by my flat mate that time and they took when vacating the room.
Please don’t use this agency, unless the kitchen and other items are loaded before moving in. They will acknowledge the emails, but the broken items won’t be fixed. Was there for 1.5 yrs, none of the issues were addressed. Even faulty things weren’t fixed not Justin covid but during usual times too.
Don’t go by the photos in the site, visit the property and make sure the things are available before moving in.
This maybe the only comment for this agency currently as Billboards uk (Hakim Habib) have chosen not to register themselves on Google. I hope this will help other tenants, who have gone through the same experience as me to come forward and leave their reviews.
I moved in to the property in July 2019 and it was an ensuite advertised with an unfurnished kitchen with no appliances with a promise that they would look into it eventually. The bedroom was inclusive of a double bed and mattress, a wardrobe which was broken and was meant to be fixed in a day or two, a chest of drawers which was fine, a bathroom with no mirror over the sink whixh again was promised to be provided in a day or two...
After moving in, i constantly sent emails to follow up on all these requirements but they NEVER delivered on their promises... Until everything was finally done by myself... i bought a microwave, toaster, kettle, vaccum cleaner and all the necessary kitchen appliances and equipment... i got a mirror for the bathroom myself... i used the wardrobe with just one door for over a year unril i left coz no one ever repaired it...including the lights in the kitchen and common area.
They acknowledged all my emails but never delivered on any of the promises or requests... Finally when it was time for me to leave and I gave my notice, pictures of my fully furnished room and fully furnished kitchen were used to advertise and there was no disclaimer whatsoever informing that the room and apartment would be unfurnished on arrival... I emailed them to let them know of the same as a reminder that everything was purchased by myself and would leave with me which they acknowledged... A few days later a tenant moved into one of the bedrooms after signing a contract based on the pics of my room and due to all the false advertising decided not to move in and left the same night...
After i left and moved out, the new tenants were unhappy about an unfinished kitchen and instead of explaining thats how the agency provides the property, they tarnished my image by saying I stole everything, as though i left with things that belonged to them...
Whoever reads this and are thinking of going with Billboardsuk, I do request you to thoroughly check everything and till you are sure that the agency does all the necessary things required, do not pay your deposit or move in.
