Unbelievable, drove 60 Mi to meet the internet sales manager Jordan after a thorough discussion on working a deal. I get there and wait 15 minutes to be passed off to another salesman for a test drive to then be told Jordan left for the day. After spending extensive time discussing a possible deal with Jordan the sales person who I was handed off to had absolutely no idea of the discussion or the time I had already spent discussing with jordan. Absolutely ridiculous waste of time. There are so many cars out there, do yourself a favor and Skip Bill Luke of San Tan...

HORRIFIED at the dishonesty and flat out lying and manipulation. Predatory Practice at its worst!

My son and daughter in law went in after being contacted by Bill Luke Buying Center about buying their car that was listed for sale in autotrader. They are in their mid twenties so on the younger end. They met with Angela. Their car had some bumper damage but they had it inspected at AutoNation Honda where they originally purchased it and were told it was purely cosmetic. They also had 3 different bids for repair all of which again confirmed the damages were strictly cosmetic. After Bill Lukes "mandatory" auto inspection Angela told them their car had structural damage and it was now deemed a salvaged title. As such they would not be able to sell it to anyone else for any more than what Bill Luke would pay them. Angela told them Bill Luke must connect the salvaged designation they deemed from their own inspection to the VIN number so that anyone looking at the car from that moment forward would know it was salvaged so any offer moving forward they would be required to disclose this to the buyers. Angela told them it would be dishonest and misleading of them otherwise. When my son and daughter in law told her they already received 4 prior inspections stating only cosmetic damage she told them that those inspections obviously weren't thorough enough and that they needed to go back and demand to know why a better job hadn't been done on the inspections. Insurance companies are the ones that determine title status. Bill Luke doesn't even have the ability to do this. This was not a misrepresentation or even exaggeration or high pressure sale tactic it was a flat out flagrant lie designed to massively manipulate and take advantage of the customer. Angela also knew the balance of their loan (which is about half of what KBB says their car value is so plenty of equity) and after the unfortunate "discovery" of the salvaged title she told them the value of the car was now less than what they owed. She brought in her "friend" (we assume manager) who told them she had buyers she could call in favors with and she would do her best but they would be lucky to pay off the loan and walk away since they were "seriously underwater" on their vehicle.
Angela and her "friend" did not know that my husband is an attorney and my son and daughter in law had been texting us throughout the entire conversation to see if things checked out. Obviously they did not and the legal advice my husband gave them was to "RUN!"
When they came home and told me more of the details of the conversation I was absolutely floored at the dishonesty and predatory practices that Angela displayed in their interaction. I will absolutely be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would welcome a call or email from Bill Luke Buying Center about this situation.

I purchased a car online through this…

I purchased a car online through this dealership and the experience was overall just OK. The price was good and the car is exactly what I wanted, but to get the advertised lowest price you have to finance through them. I didn't see that in their online ad! My credit is good, so no biggie. When you get to the "out the door numbers", they make you buy window tint for $400. It's Arizona, so I get that. But it's a Fiat 500, not an Escalade, so the $400 price seems very high. Next they charge a $500 doc fee. Old school car sales at it's finest. So it's really $900 on top of the advertised price. This ain't no carmax for sure.

It was still a decent deal so I went for it. I was surprised that when I told the salesman I wanted to put $2000 down and have a 48 month term I was told I could only put down $1000. When the final paperwork was done they had my downpayment at 10%, $875, and a 60 month term. Neither where what I wanted, but in the spirit of getting the deal done I just rolled with it. Up to this point many of my exchanges with the salesman were awkward and he made me feel like I was annoying him a bit. With internet sales I get that, he probably gets a lot of lookers and not buyers. On the other hand I am buying online, so questions should be expected. I was a serious buyer and he should have known to give me the best service. Since I knew that I was going to refinance this loan I just went with whatever they put in front of me just to get the deal done. I'm in the process now of looking to refi the car. Should I have to? Nope. Being 1000 miles away put me in an odd position when buying the car. And while the deal was done, it wasn't at the terms I asked for or wanted. Sure I could have asked the finance guy to redo the paperwork and he might have accommodated me. The point is I shouldn't have to. The salesman should have been keen to give me exactly what I wanted. When he told me I could only put down $1K and came back with a different number, I knew that getting what I wanted would be like pulling teeth. That's why I caved, that's why my experience was just OK at best. I do love the car though.

Update: After owning this car for a week or so, I've discovered that the windshield wipers were the original one's that came with the car and that the washer fluid was almost empty. Small details, I know, but it goes to show how closely they look at your car before selling it to you. Details.
