We have been coming here for years, mainly The Nutcracker and most recently The Red Shoes. We have to compliment the staff as each time they are efficient and very friendly and helpful.
They really are a credit to your company and make our visits an enjoyable experience.
I bought £180 of tickets for a show this month. Due to urgent personal circumstances I can’t use them. No understanding whatsoever from the call handler . I didn’t ask for the cash back but was declined either credit or transfer to a different show. Suggestion was give the tickets away to family and friends. Might work if you are local but I am not.
Be wary of booking in advance with the Hippodrome!
I was collecting a friend after a matinee performance on a cold rainy February day. There were about eight others in the same situation. Each of us asked the staff whether we were allowed to wait in the foyer or even just in the entrance area to get out of the rain in the cold especially as the performance was running late. The staff was curt an unfriendly to each of us and we were not allowed to even get in the area between the double doors.
Some of the other people mentioned that this had never been no problem previously as they regulate collected their relative in a wheelchair.
Very unpleasant experience and atmosphere.

Inadvertently booked Matinee tickets ( I have to assume it was my error?) Arrived for the 19:30 performance I thought I’d booked. No goodwill gesture, or offer to transfer to empty seats for that performance. Insisted on charging again and were given tickets with very restricted viewing without informing us that this was the case. Was told that this happened to a lot of people, makes you wonder if the website should be clearer. Anyway, beware, if you get it wrong, you’re paying twice ☹️
