My latest watch purchase from Birth Year watches is my fifth with Scott!

I am a fussy watch collector and this latest purchase is consistent with all of my previous purchases!

Namely, a quality timepiece at a fair price, with swift dispatch too!

I needed a spare link for this watch, so used the sister website at Spare Links. I placed my order late Friday afternoon and Scott posted out link to me the very same evening!

When my purchase first arrived the Quartz battery had a fault. Scott was quick to remedy the situation and communicated clearly throughout. I could not ask for better customer service responding to an issue.

Received my latest vintage watch in wonderful condition. Shipping from the UK to the US was pretty efficient. The video and web presentation was accurate and useful and the travel case the watch shipped in was icing on the cake. I’m very pleased with the purchase and my new watch.

Everything went well other than with DHL. I was following the tracking and was told that the delivery date was on Wednesday. Wednesday morning I received an email telling me I had to pay an additional $140 for customs ( which I was surprised to learn. I bought another watch out of Switzerland a number of years ago and did NOT have a customs charge). To make matters worse DHL continued to tell me that the delivery was by end of day Wednesday which didn’t happen. I Sat at home waiting and when I finally tried call DHL their phones were shut down at 5:00 pm!

I recently purchased a vintage Techno watch listed as circa 1970, and to my delight, when it arrived, the certification dated it to 1972 — the exact year I had been searching for! That small surprise made the whole experience even more special.

The watch arrived quickly and was extremely well packed, which I truly appreciated given its age and value. Everything about the purchase felt professional and honestly described. If you’re into vintage timepieces, I highly recommend giving this seller a try — they clearly know how to treat both the watches and the customers right.

Excellent communication from Scott. Superfast shipping from the UK. Vintage watch exactly as described and working perfectly. I visit the site a few times a month just to see what new pieces are there either in my birth year or my wife's. This was my first purchase, but it won't be the last. Overall great transaction.

BYW always go to great effort to accurately describe what they are selling, so no unwelcome surprises when they are delivered. Watches arrive promptly and well packaged. Always worth checking out the website or subscribing to the YouTube channel..always something unusual and interesting up for sale.
