Love, the store at J32. Nothing's too much trouble. They listen to you, an don't just try an sell you something expensive. Good honest advice given, and helped placing an online order through the store. Thanks to Charlotte an Mike for all your help in store.

We bought both men’s and women’s walking boots today. We walk a lot in the Yorkshire Dales & needed a little advice especially regarding how waterproof the boots were.
Dave (the store manager) was an absolute font of knowledge. He wasn’t pushy just brilliant at his job. We already knew some things but realised how little we knew after talking to Dave. He is a credit to this store & his employers. He was extremely polite & kind. I’m hoping we don’t need boots for a while but next time we do we won’t hesitate to go in Blacks in Castleford & hopefully Dave is there. Thank you so much it made shopping a pleasure, which is very rare these days.

Took in my North Face for a defect and was pleasantly reimbursed (as I had my receipt and under a year). Charles and Mike served me well and patiently and encouragingly waited for me to try on several and decide upon new hiking shoes. So thankful for Charles’s no pressure. ☺️ And I got 10% off from English Heritage! 🙌🏻

Black’s employee Ellie was a absolutely excellent - friendly, helpful and totally professional - a credit to Blacks.

Mike sorted us out with some fantastic kit for our upcoming adventures around the Lake District and Iceland. His advice was incredibly in-depth, and he even shared some great tips for exploring Iceland. Mike was a real asset to our trip preparations—couldn't have asked for better service. Top notch!

Charlotte was excellent and guided me through the fitting and then the different styles, which enabled me to choose the merrell’s, which weren’t in stock but could be delivered to my home. They arrived within two days thank you Charlotte

Excellent service for a bulk purchase of Scout rucksacks. Incredibly helpful. Due to the amount of rucksacks needed they weren’t all in stock but the team arranged for them to be delivered for free the next day. Fabulous all round.
